The anticipation for the new Daft Punk album was finally overflown last week with the itunes stream debuting and spreading like wildfire across the blogosphere. The SF disco dons WhiteNoize got their hands on a copy and made a great party blend of “Give Life Back To Music” with Ellie Goulding‘s melodic vocals from “Lights”. The outcome is a summer secret weapon similar to the crowd pleasing factor of Aeroplane vs. Flight Facilities – “I Crave Paris”, grab them both below!
Continuing the abundance of giveaways as weather gets warmer, we have another summer heater for your vibe cultivation. Our SF friends WhiteNoize did a remix of their favorite classic Reggae/Hip-Hop track “Here Comes The Hotstepper.” You know you’ve sang the chorus to this at some point in your life! The boys put it through the chop shop and out pops an uptempo house groove that breaks down into the original and back out again. NAAAAA NA-N-NA-NA, NA-N-NA-NA, NA-N-NA-NA-NANA-NANA!
To thank everyone for the support over the past year, the chart-topping duo WhiteNoize is giving away another great tune. The SF-based producers are known for their massive house tunes with a disco club spirit, and “Funky Sense” is no stray from their reputation. Don’t just take my word for it – these dudes have several tunes ranking in multiple Beatport charts right now. Let’s see how many geeks like me can hear the vocal in the track that was also part of sample used in MSTRKRFT’s live intro back in ’08. Enjoy!
Riding the beatport charts with their top-ranked tune “Insecure,” the SF duo WhiteNoize follow up with their SIDESHOW EP on (fitting) bay area label Guest House Music. The 2-track medley boasts classic west coast hip hop riffs, with vocal samples that tease in lyrics from Cypress Hill and Pharcyde. All in all, great funky house tunes yet again… listen below, and pick ‘em up on Beatport!
Kicking off this weekend with some serious heat, CONTROL @ Avalon brings you another full fledged lineup to the decks tomorrow night. This event will reach capacity early, so please RSVP below and arrive before doors to guarantee entry!

San Francisco amigos Viceroy + WhiteNoize team up on the original track “Only Takes” and bring some serious Summertime bounce. The combination of Viceroy’s sun soaked vibes and WhiteNoize’s classic sound is a winning formula. This isn’t a bubbly nu-disco track or some fluffy French house tickler…this is a full blown big room disco house bomb. Save this one for the closing track at your Summertime pool party. Deploy this disco house bomb + leave the party on a high note!
With all the great music being released for free today, I wanted to showcase a few giveaway remixes by friends of ours because this is what GDD was built on. Free music for the promotion of artists and their sound… and who doesn’t like a free 320? Support our homiez.
Trev and I are back on Dirty Duty for the 57th round of The Dirt. As the year comes to a close, I know I can speak on behalf of the entire GDD family that we are so stoked to be able to spread such great dance music to all corners of the globe (and a big thanks to EVERYONE we’ve seen throughout the year wearing our GDD apparel). This week, BONES dishes out some amazing house cuts, and I’ve snuck in a couple songs that I’ve just finished that I hope you enjoy.
The San Francisco based Chris Harnett & David Carvalho aka White Noize are back at it again with more pounding pounding… DISCO music? The veteran Dj duo have just released their next EP on DJ Dan’s InStereo Recordings called WEEKEND IN CALIFORNIA, featuring “Honey Love” and “Big Bright Lights.” WhiteNoize are known for digging up old disco classics and reviving them with club electro, fidget, and tech-house body parts. Their “big room disco” sounds have earned them top rankings on Beatport several times, not to mention the support of favorites Duck Sauce, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, TJR, Stonebridge, Mustard Pimp, Treasure Fingers, and Umek (just to name a few.) These tracks are serious must haves for any DJs club sets, especially all you funky steppers out there. Check out the EP below, as well as the upcoming “Turn This Mutha Out” and a FREE download of their Cobra Starship Remix!
