Last week, aRod streamed four world-class remixes of Mark Ronson and The Business Intl.’s “Somebody To Love Me” and today, I’ve got one more from Los Angeles electro legends Villains in all of its three hundred and twenty kilobit-per-second glory, available free for download from soundcloud. Big and clubby but with plenty of warm midrange, this one went off with a bang when I dropped it last Friday in sunny San Diego. Expect their remix of Fischerspooner’s “Infidels of the World” to drop on Dim Mak very early next year.

• Villains – Thrilla
Halloween may be well behind us now, but if you forgot to revisit this classic last month, here’s a reminder for the next one.

Los Angeles! The Electric Daisy Carnival is 2 days away and I’m sure you are all as stoked as I am. I hope you’ve all put together your best tight n’ bright outfits and stocked up on lazers and glowsticks because this Friday and Saturday are going to be big ones. You might think that CONTROL would take a night off on this magnificent Friday, but then you would be incorrect. This week CONTROL will be going super late night with Villains headlining supported by ///BONES, Brazzabelle, Mr. White, and Hi-Deaf. So after you walk out of the Coliseum at 2am with ringing in your ears and rave muck on your shoes, hop in a cab and cruise over to the Avalon to keep the music going. Set times will be as follows:
+9:30-11:45 Hi-Deaf
+11:45-1:00 Brazzabelle
+1:00-2:00 Mr. White
+2:00-3:30 Villains
+3:30-??? ///BONES (let’s do it biggggg all you late night weirdos!)

Please RSVP names and pluses to jonah@gottadancedirty.com to be on our discount list for the evening. Our list will be free before midnight and $10 thereafter. All guests please enter through the left side Honey Lounge entrance.

GDD™ favorites Classixx never disappoint us. Their remixes always bring a smile to my face, usually slowing down the chaos and adding in a warm weather, sun is shining, groovy vibe. If you have been living under a rock, or are a little slow to the draw and don’t have that much classixx, I highly recommend you arm yourself with all of their releases. If you’re trying to woo some cutie patooties, make a CD chocked full of Classixx remixes and drop it off with a wink. Beyond this point GDD™ isn’t responsible for any ill-conceived children, accidents, or sexual diseases…just good music.

Tyler and Michael are also about to embark on a gnarly tour all throughout Europe and other parts of the world; we wish them the best. You can find all their tour dates on their myspace.

So thanks to MS-DOS over at FVCV, I have found my new favorite remix of DIOYY’s “We Are Rockstars,” and it is by two DJ’s from Hollywood who go by the name of Cold Blank: Mr. Gaspar and Big Na$ty. They are currently releasing tracks on Nu Industry Recordings and Burn The Fire Records and recently came out with a pretty sick new production called “Left to Right”. For those of you that couldn’t afford EDC this year or are only going on Saturday, these guys will be playing in LA on Friday night along with Villains, Break Down, and more. Check em out.

PS If you are the girl in this picture you have an awesome tattoo.

alright i’m not going to lie, i love supporting my fellow LA artists. and the VILLAINS have produced another stellar remix. in comparison to prior bangarang remixes we have heard in the past, this one stays a tad bit more mellow and shows the wide range of talent that the duo illuminates here in this track. along with most of the world, the villains are in miami for the rest of the weekend before they head back west to do a few stops in california, the midwest, and canada towards the second week of may, but if you are around any of their stops, i highly (highly) recommend you check them out. enjoy this happy little chiller.
