A really great video of Daedelus playing live on a rooftop here in Los Angeles. The guy knows his stuff.
So besides this AMAZING photo, I have a pair of remixes of Valerna‘s Amazing to exclusively give away to you all today. The Valerna boys have sent these over in promotion for their upcoming June releases on Burn The Fire Records and Something a la Mode‘s new label, and coincidentally (maybe not?) they come from two of our favorite up and coming acts; Clockwork and No Body. Each take their own respective Electro expertise and re-invent the track to their liking. Make sure to check out the new track from Valerna & Heavygrinder at the bottom and keep an eye out in June for the Valerna releases, and as always, dance dirty to this dichotomy of dancefloor crushers.
pic: itwasthelight Today is the start of a big week for LA-via-Boston duo Valerna, whose first release on Cold Blank’s Burn the Fire label featuring Control resident Mr. White is out today and remix of Pola-Riot available Thursday. My fellow disco aficionados shouldn’t sleep on “Think It Over” and no Valerna release is complete without a crunchy banger with a silly name like “I Wish I Had Dog Feet”.
If you guys are long time readers of GDD™, you’d know how much love we have for our good friends Pance Party from San Francisco. Besides being a trio of rad dudes, Ben, Eric, and Andy continue to impress me with each new release they send our way. This time, the boys have put together another hard-hitting remix for the new single from powerpop band, The Dance Party, who will be releasing their new album, Touch, at the end of September. So grab this and make sure to keep your eyes out for Pance Party’s latest collaboration with Valerna, the Robobot EP, which should be coming out soon!
Dirty Electro, live lighting, live visuals, live nudity, and tons of live absurdity. With epic talent, and a production strongly supported by friends: Electric Generation, Techno Color Kids, Dancism, Everyday, Shifty Rhythms, Gotta Dance Dirty, Play Farer, Bohemia Now, and EntertainLA, this will definitely not be a night to miss.
When: Saturday September 11th, 2010

Here we have a GDD™ + Chemical Jump exclusive for you guys. Nate over at CJ and I were asked by the great people over at GreenElectronic to simultaneously release this monster out today, so we’re giving it to all of you fine folks. Valerna has been pumping out some serious bangarang lately with their multiple releases on Miles Dyson‘s Plasmapool Records, as well as getting a Felix Cartal touch-up to their latest track ‘Look Ma, No Pants!’ that went out on Beatport in July. Definitely make sure to catch these guys this Friday on the main stage at CONTROL along with Wolfgang Gartner, Harvard Bass, Skrillex, and ///BONES!

Oh Boy dirty dancers, do we have CONTROL Friday for you.
This week, we welcome two big room monsters that are backed by the incredible production they’ve quickly become known for. Undocumented Management’s Wolfgang Gartner and Harvard Bass. If that wasn’t enough to make you pass out, they will be supported by up-and-coming heavy hitters Valerna and Skrillex. And if that isn’t enough reason to go, I have been given the closing set for this carnival of a friday night, and I would love if you could make it just so you can see me bouncing off the walls in excitement. The flyer is enough for me to start jumpin right now.
Now, make no mistake, this night is gonna be FUGGING CRAZY. Pre-sale tickets have already sold out, and apparently our guest list this week is going to be first come, first served. I can’t stress enough to RSVP NOW and make sure you SHOW UP EARLY.

Alright LA, were finally kickin this summer into bonkers mode. We got huge names coming in the next few months, and with EDC around the corner, I couldn’t be more excited for a sweaty season of boom boom. This friday at Control, I will be opening the main stage (from 9:30-11:30!) for heavy bass champions AC Slater and Rico Tubbs, along with a very special live set from Vandalism. This one’s sure to be a wobble fest, bass heavy enough to give us that earthquake we’ve been waiting for out here on the coast. To put the icing on the cake, our very own Dr. Schlongo will be tearing up the legit lounge room with Sean Slaughter and our thrashin’ friends, Valerna. I got some tasties for ya here, gettin you ready to lose your balance on the d-floor.
