Twin Turbo, the baby brother to Tiga’s legendary Turbo imprint, readies their next release with Phil Kieran. Kieran oozes class on this EP with carefully pitched sonic noises and the kind of tight percussion that’s fit for a dark warehouse. This package sees the re-release of Saturdays, a track that made its rounds on the festival circuit this summer after it saw a release on the Turbo Miami Lifestyle compilation in March. The standout track for me on the release comes from the Polish duo Catz ‘N Dogz, whose take on Saturdays is a chunky, behemoth of a track that left me with sweaty palms and a mildly uncomfortable feeling of nausea and slight euphoria, which is exactly what you want in a techno track. Pick up the full EP when it drops on November 18th.

Hardened by years touring the world as half of pseudo-kitsch acid-electro force Light Year, and now gone solo, Jensen Interceptor is unleashing the raw, elastic-funk techno of his dreams upon the world.

With the split of Light Year and end to the Bang Gang era, Jensen Interceptor has dug his claws deep into the skin of techno, letting us know he will still prevail. Riding on the wings of respected labels Twin Turbo and Motorik, Jensen has released his newest EP INTERCEPTION – a colossal (4) track ride through club techno and onto the deeper side of things.

I’ve still never been to Sydney, or Australia for that matter, but when I do, I’m sure my experience could be summed up very well by this new EP from the mysterious new project, Australia, recently signed to Tiga‘s new sub-label, Twin Turbo. The Sydney On Acid EP features two collaborative tracks from two of our favorite Aussie artists, and I can’t tell you how excited we are to hear more from this new musical alliance. Watch out world, there is Techno coming from Australia, and it is better than you could ever imagine.
