It seems like it’s only been a few days since I last wrote about Tom Flynn, but I’m certainly not complaining. Back again with this funky tech four track EP on Mobilee Records it looks like there is no slowing down for the British producer. I love the tropical deep feel of “A New Dawn” and the drug centric vocal sample on “Under My Control” is perfectly matched by its funky bassline. Check em out below!

Tom Flynn is an expert when it comes to House music. The UK producer has pumped out releases on some of the best labels in the game, including Hypercolour, Deleted, and of course dirtybird, where he released his superb Be Yourself EP late last summer. To add to his growing repertoire, Flynn has just released an unbelievable 4-track EP titled Everything I Am for Nick Curly‘s 8 Bit imprint, and it’s honestly hard to choose my favorite of the 4. Each are sexy, well-produced, and just straight-up solid dancefloor House music. Can’t get enough of this dude. √+

This week’s guest mix comes from a producer/DJ from the UK, Tom Flynn, who has graced us with a generous offering of the finest house and techno. Earlier this week, we supported his newest release, the Work It Out EP, that has been played out by several prominent dance music artists such as the techno specialist Dubfire. Despite the successful release, Tom Flynn is back again with a more comprehensive auditory illustration that represents his great taste and keen sense of style. Have a listen to the mix and download it for safe keeping.

Recently released on Berlin’s Mobilee Records, Tom Flynn‘s 3 part “Work It Out” EP is a killer! These deep, techy grooves have had me dancing at work and dreaming of the weekend since I heard them and will easily dominate dance floors the world over. “Work It Out” was my favorite, but with so much diversity and great vibes all three of these tracks deserve a √+. Tom Flynn of Birmingham, UK will be releasing his third solo EP on San Francisco’s dirtybird imprint tomorrow exclusively on Beatport, and his reputation precedes him once again as the Be Yourself EP is a prime example of Flynn’s incredible knack for House Music production and arrangement. While the title track “Be Yourself” will tickle you in all of your favorite places, it’s the B-side “Wild Flowers” that tantalizes almost to the breaking point before reaching a “euphoric resolution” that Claude VonStroke calls “absolute killer open air material and probably [his] favorite Tom Flynn track to date.” √+ Continue Reading

One of the hardest workers in EDM today, Pete Tong maintains a hectic DJ schedule and dedicates his life to exposing the freshest tracks and emerging talent via his radio shows. This year, on top of his touring festival appearances and residencies at Pacha Ibiza and Encore Beach Club in Vegas, Tong re-launched his legendary FFRR imprint – once home to Orbital, Brand New Heavies, Jay-Z, Armand Van Helden and the man himself – under the umbrella of Warner Music Group.

With one hell of a biography, it seems unsurprising that people have forgotten about Pete Tong’s production talents. This week, the British Dance Music Ambassador released his new ‘Wardance’ EP on Toolroom, featuring remixes from Matthias Tanzmann and Tom Flynn. Check out the previews below, and swing by Beatport to pick up the release in full:

Sweet FA

Happy almost Halloween! It’s that time of year when girls dress with less, guys try to come up with some type of clever yet relevant costume, and ‘candy’ takes on a far different meaning than when you were munchin’ those Reese’s at 10pm after a serious trick or treating session in the 3rd grade.

Well dirty dancers, let me tell you that this Friday will be like no other CONTROL event that you have ever been to. The San Franciscan label known as dirtybird will be doing a full takeover of the mainstage at the Avalon in Hollywood with long, techy sets by label boss Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, and J.Phlip.

Today I have quite the treat for you. A GDD™ exclusive interview with the man with the golden voice, Mr. Pete Tong. Famous for his BBC Radio 1 programs, contributions to the global music community, recent productions, Ibiza club nights, and that discerning ear for hot new talent, the man is also a world-class talent behind the decks. Pete will be headlining the House of Horror stage alongside Armand Van Helden, Felix Da Housecat + more at this Saturday’s Monster Massive 2010.
