Zhu has taken to remixing duties again, this time ripping TJR’s hilarious viral Soundcloud sensation, “What’s Up Suckaz” and turning it into a funky electro-house tune. Perhaps what’s most impressive of the remix; creative and tasteful sampling use aside, is the inherent, identifiable TJR flavoring that Zhu was able to apply to his edit, transforming it from internet meme to certified club banger.

Now that DJ/producer, Bass Kleph, has settled down here in Los Angeles, he’s decided to get back to a passion of his that started back in Australia years ago — sharing music with friends and fans via radio/podcast. Starting this month, he’ll be putting together a monthly podcast titled, KLEPHTOMANIA, which will consist of live recordings, top tunes, and even submissions from fans. The kickoff is a goodie, featuring a whole lot of Electro House including Kleph’s latest single, “Make Me Forget,” our buddy TJR’s “Ode to Oi,” as well as the notorious live recording of Quintino & Sandro Silva’s “Epic” performed at The Yost in Orange County. Download below and subscribe on iTunes to get it every month.

Feeding on the momentum of “trap” music right now,  the chart-topping and GDD favorite TJR has done us all a solid and created an incredible DJ-friendly edit of Bauuer‘s signature ‘Harlem Shake.’ If you know why this is a big deal then I don’t have to tell you any more, but I’d rather let TJ speak for himself on this gem:

“A few months back a friend of mine played Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” in the car and I was instantaneously hooked. It was the tiger or lion sample that did it actually and I could give 2 shits and a dozen fucks as to the coolness or not so coolness of “trap” (Yes I know, it’s not “new” it’s been thriving in the south since the T.I days.. I can google wiki search too). I’ve heard more since from Baauer and RL Grime and I love it so I wanted to make a quick edit to drop in standard 128 bpm electro & house sets. Bon ape tit.”

With the word ‘massive’ being used quite frivolously these days (guilty), there are some high expectations for an eponymous EP release. Yesterday, Italian Electro dons, Crookers, released the remixes for the Massive EP out on Potty Mouth Records, and we give two massive thumbs up. With 3 originals from Phra and Bot and 4 remixes from TJR & Anthony Wolf, Magik JohnsonSantiago & Bushido, and Mightyfools, this is a must-grab release from the Los Angeles label. Pick it up on Beatport now and enjoy this remix of ‘Massive’ from our pal TJR and newcomer Anthony Wolf.

ATTENTION blogaholics: one of our favorite up-and-coming DJ duos NO BODY have just hit a home run. Making the first jump into the remix pool, they’ve tackled TJR‘s Beatport chart-topping tune ‘Funky Vodka’ and sent it through the grinding gears of heavy hitting electro. Already a dance floor anthem for 2012, the NO BODY boys have just cleared this track for big room liftoff. We’re lucky enough to be giving you dirty dancers the exclusive download and we hope it turns your summer funky into festival fire. I SAID YA’LL HAVIN A GOOD TIME OUT THERE?
