Just over a week ago LA-massive Mad Decent dropped a five-flush remix pack of Elliphant‘s “Only Getting Younger feat. Skrillex” on their Soundcloud and like some of the best things in life that shit is free.99! Predictably all of the tracks are heavy hitters, ranging from big-room horn-heavy bounce vibes from TJR and Brazzabelle to the moombahton-tempo squaks of the Milo & Otis remix, to the sped-up DnB halftime version from DJ Vice & Justyle, to my personal favorite sort of experimental melodic trap/beats version from NGTMRE and Imanos. Regardless of what your style or taste is, this is a classic encompassing Mad Decent Party Pack that not only showcases a festival-ready range of styles but also a great look at some of LA’s biggest and baddest upcoming talents.
You can preview the whole pack below and download them over on the Mad Decent Soundcloud.

After months of anticipation, TJR has released the REAL preview to his upcoming single “What’s Up Suckaz,” due out on Chris Lake’s Rising Music on July 22nd. Similar to “Ode to Oi,” the new single from TJ represents the bubbling Melbourne Bounce sound, with rolling, crunchy synth breakdowns and an energy level fit for the Tasmanian devil. A very big tune that you’ll hear all over the place this summer and fall…

Now that DJ/producer, Bass Kleph, has settled down here in Los Angeles, he’s decided to get back to a passion of his that started back in Australia years ago — sharing music with friends and fans via radio/podcast. Starting this month, he’ll be putting together a monthly podcast titled, KLEPHTOMANIA, which will consist of live recordings, top tunes, and even submissions from fans. The kickoff is a goodie, featuring a whole lot of Electro House including Kleph’s latest single, “Make Me Forget,” our buddy TJR’s “Ode to Oi,” as well as the notorious live recording of Quintino & Sandro Silva’s “Epic” performed at The Yost in Orange County. Download below and subscribe on iTunes to get it every month.
Another Thursday and another 10-pack of free tunes to get your weekend started off in the right direction. This week, I’ve teamed up with Korbz to deliver a nice, lighthearted batch of songs perfect for the middle of summer. Nu Disco, House, and Tropical jams aplenty in this 82nd edition of The Dirt. Feeding on the momentum of “trap” music right now, the chart-topping and GDD favorite TJR has done us all a solid and created an incredible DJ-friendly edit of Bauuer‘s signature ‘Harlem Shake.’ If you know why this is a big deal then I don’t have to tell you any more, but I’d rather let TJ speak for himself on this gem:
“A few months back a friend of mine played Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” in the car and I was instantaneously hooked. It was the tiger or lion sample that did it actually and I could give 2 shits and a dozen fucks as to the coolness or not so coolness of “trap” (Yes I know, it’s not “new” it’s been thriving in the south since the T.I days.. I can google wiki search too). I’ve heard more since from Baauer and RL Grime and I love it so I wanted to make a quick edit to drop in standard 128 bpm electro & house sets. Bon ape tit.”

With the word ‘massive’ being used quite frivolously these days (guilty), there are some high expectations for an eponymous EP release. Yesterday, Italian Electro dons, Crookers, released the remixes for the Massive EP out on Potty Mouth Records, and we give two massive thumbs up. With 3 originals from Phra and Bot and 4 remixes from TJR & Anthony Wolf, Magik Johnson, Santiago & Bushido, and Mightyfools, this is a must-grab release from the Los Angeles label. Pick it up on Beatport now and enjoy this remix of ‘Massive’ from our pal TJR and newcomer Anthony Wolf.
