Today, Antonio Cuna, better known as the Brooklyn-based producer Sweater Beats, just released his That Feel EP, on Kastle‘s Symbols Recordings. On the EP, he showcases a fresh take on his R&B-leaning future bass sound swapping out samples for original vocals for the first time. Check out That Feel below and purchase it on iTunes.
In celebration of the release of That Feel, Sweater Beats has put together a GDD exclusive “15 Minutes of Timbo” mix highlighting select Timbaland-produced tracks that have greatly influenced his music. Additionally, we were able to chat with Sweater Beats about his experience as a musician growing up in the suburbs of Maryland, his vision for the new EP, what he hopes to accomplish with his career and more. See the tracklist for the mix and the full interview after the jump.

The Bloody Beetroots will always remind me of 2007 and 2008 when we really first immersed ourselves in the burgeoning Electro scene that Los Angeles harbored during that time. Bob Rifo has always been a musical genius. From his Timbaland remix to ‘Warp’ and now to his latest single, ‘Rocksteady,’ which had its first remix EP out today on Ultra Records, the Bloody Beetroots moniker has always garnered respect from the dance music community, and we’re happy to say that we’re still big fans of what Sir Bob is up to. That said, we’re delighted that Part 1 of the remix EP for ‘Rocksteady’ is top notch; with remixes from Dem Slackers, Mumbai Science, and fellow Italian Gigi Barocco. Dem Slackers has been kind enough to stream his remix for us on this release day, so have a listen to some quality Electro House below and pick up all 3 remixes on Beatport. Continue Reading
Let me introduce myself all you Dirty Dancers out there. My name is Kevin and I am the newest addition to the GDD crew. I am real excited to now be a part of the GDD revolution. Well enough of me talking, I will keep my opinion out of this post and just let the beats do the talking:
• Etienne De Crecy – Welcome (Pablo Decoder Remix)
• Wolfgang Gartner – Undertaker (Original Mix)
• Huoratron – Gbay (Original Mix)
• Gooseflesh – Dodgems (Cyberpunks Remix)
• Timbaland feat. Soshy & Nelly Furtado – Mornin’ After Dark (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)
• Don Diablo & Sidney Samson – Monster (Original Mix)
• The Loops of Fury – Soap (Hatiras Remix)
Lots of songs in one post, but had to come out with my guns blazing
Miami DJ and good buddy of mine DJ RASCAL sent over a big-room remix of Timbaland‘s ‘Ease Off the Liquor’. The drum samples are very Afrojacky, so you won’t feel the least bit guilty throwing this track into your set if you’re so lucky to be a ‘club dj bro’. RASCAL has recently finished his debut monster called ‘Rumble’, which he said he’s looking to release sometime before WMC (winter music conference).
