Last week, I posted a teaser featuring a glimpse of this mini-documentary on Porter Robinson‘s journey through Tiesto‘s College Invasion tour, and today marks it’s full release. Have a brief inside look on the life of Porter and enjoy the most inspiring 9 minutes of my day. If you don’t already have your ticket to Porter at The Music Box this Saturday, be sure to arrive early as there will be a very limited amount of tickets sold at the door. See you there!

Yesterday, our boys Josh & Angelo from PeaceTreaty sent us over a pair of previews of their upcoming remixes that will be hitting Beatport in the next couple of weeks, and we are impressed as usual. The first track is a hot n’ heavy new take on Moby‘s ‘After,’ complete with a light synthy Big Room build and a heavy bassline drop that I can’t wait to hear on some professional speakers. Already gaining support from Steve Angello, Hardwell, and Tommy Trash, this remix will be released on Moby’s Lil Idiot Records on Monday, October 31st. The second remix on our plate is Diplo & Oliver Twizt‘s ‘Go,’ and personally, I can really hear the always-improving PeaceTreaty signature sound in this one. This EP will be released on Mad Decent on November 8th, and you probably have heard it played out already by some people you may have heard of: Tiesto, Benny Benassi, Afrojack, Chuckie, and Mr. Aoki. Keep ‘em coming fellas!

After receiving a large amount of support for several remixes and the original productions, “All My Friends” and “The End,” it is clear that Tommy Trash is making his way up the ranks of world-class electronic music artists. With this latest release, “Future Folk,” on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom Records, Tommy takes on a unique approach with a buildup comprised of an unfamiliar bagpipe type sound that drops into some satisfying, jackin’ electro. Do your ears a favor and have a listen.

October 8th marks a monumental event with some of the absolute biggest names in electronic music descending upon Southern California all in the same day. The Club Life College Invasion tour featuring Tiesto, Diplo (just added), Dada Life, & Porter Robinson is coming to the Home Depot Center. A mix of thoroughly established veterans and impressive young talent makes this a must-see show. There are discount tickets for students (w/ ID), so for all of you young ones, there really is no excuse not to go. Regardless, I’d grab a ticket now before it’s too late!

Over the past year, Porter Robinson has grown to be synonymous with the word “prodigy” and he has become a sort of phenomenon in the electronic music community. Known for his hard electro-house, Porter has skyrocketed in popularity and I believe it’s only a matter of time before he is ranked as one of the world’s Top 100 DJ’s. It’s interesting to see how technology plays such a large role in the music industry today with the ease of production that allows younger artists to make professional music, and also as a promotional tool with social media, music blogs, and simply, the virtual inter-connectedness that we share and we are able to take advantage of. Anyway, Porter‘s debut release, the Spitfire EP, will be dropping this Tuesday the 13th on Skrillex’s new label, OWSLA. As if the lines of genres weren’t getting blurred enough already, you can expect a creative mix of dubstep, electro-house, progressive house, and even some moombahton, all packed into individual tracks. The release also includes heavy remixes from Knife Party, Mikkas, Downlink, SkisM, and Kill The Noise. Go stream it exclusively on Grooveshark (see link below) and be sure to purchase it Tuesday on Beatport! Check here to see if Porter will be coming to your town this Fall on Tiësto’s College Invasion tour.

B. Rich has just sent us over a remix of Tiesto that he did a few months ago, and I think he has labeled it correctly calling it “trancestep”. It kinda seems like you can add ‘step’ to anything these days and make it cooler, even trance. In addition to that track I also introduce you to J. Rabbit, a dubstep and DnB specialist out of the Bronx. Look for him to produce some great new tracks this year out on Delorean Music Group and Play Me Records.

Get out your glowsticks and E-bombers. Got a little techNO for yall. As badly as I want to knock this track and all the shutter-shade wearing fist pumping day-glo fans he has out there, you can’t deny that Tiesto knows how to produce one hell of a club tune. He has a new album out called Kaleidoscope (album photo is pretty rank, but I guess when you’re the god of trance you can do what you want and get away with it) Swedish house man Avicii gets all kinds of ravey on an almost 8 minute long epic, while the LA Riots remix is what you’d expect…less ed hardy and more leather jacket.
