With new festivals spawning in all corners of the United States and abroad, it’s easy for an event to fly under the radar, but San Diego’s CRSSD Festival harnessed our attention with its outstanding music programming, gorgeous venue, and more. After an anxious few months, the long-awaited festival finally descended upon the bay front park, and thousands upon thousands attended to experience a summery soirée helmed by some of the world’s finest producer/DJs and musicians like Maceo Plex, Chromeo, Hot Natured, Robert Delong, GDD™ homies Thomas Jack, Viceroy, Bixel Boys, and SNBRN, amongst others. By now, you’ve probably heard that CRSSD Festival was a great success, but in our minds, it was the perfect way to kick off festival season.

Coming off a entirely sold out tour w/ KYGO, the aussie Tropical-house lord Thomas Jack just can’t be stopped. Tom seems to have it down to a science – giving away tracks, racking in millions of plays, and spreading the vibes far and wide. His newest remix for friends MYNGA showcase his signature Sax section atop a rolling bassline, with the melodic vocals of Cosmo Klein carrying you all the way through. Grab it below, and watch out for him coming back to play HARD Day of The Dead!

Summer is almost out of reach, but the Tropical house lord Thomas Jack is making sure you’re never letting go… the young Australian DJ/producer has took the internet by storm over the past year racking up millions of soundcloud plays and causing an anxious wait for tour dates. THAT WAIT IS OVER – TJ is back with his new remix for Ben Sollee’s single “Letting Go” inspired by his recent travels to Tulum, Mexico, and is finally cleared his visa to travel stateside for a much anticipated string of dates this fall across North America alongside fellow Tropical house phenom KYGO. Since his recent emergence, the rising tropical house specialist, Bearson, has been racking up SoundCloud plays, reaching over 2 million on his assortment of chilled-out remixes. Clearly, this 19-year-old is carving out his own place on an international stage as he follows in the footsteps of his fellow Norwegian, Kygo. After dropping his remix of The Lighthouse and the Whaler’s “Venice” last week, Bearson is quick to the draw, delivering a refreshing guest mix of sun-kissed house that’ll keep the Fall season at bay, as long as you’re listening.
It’s almost Halloween! To get the festivities going, our friends over @ Prep School Recordings just released the LA-based Wilks ‘Bring Me Home’ EP. The haunting vocals of Bria park are accompanied by Wilks deep basslines that turn sinister and sawlike (fans of Soulwax and Disclosure will enjoy). The B-side ‘Get It Poppin’ is a G house track in every sense of the term – Funky and deep, but ghetto and gangster. Listen to them both below, and pick up the EP today on Beatport!

With an affinity for deep house accompanied by amazing saxophonist Adrian Symes and epic historical speeches, Thomas has made a name for himself recently with several free to download releases, most reaching the top of the Hypem charts and garnering support from DJs the world over. His most recent track “Symphony” is a showcase in why Thomas is definitely one to watch, check it and a few of our other favorites by him below!

We’ve enlisted Australia’s promising deep house specialist, Thomas Jack, for this week’s GDD™ guest mix. Recently featured here for his stunning Booka Shade tribute, “Booka Shake,” Thomas has gained our attention while making waves in the underground. Adding a signature tropical twist to a typically dark, brooding genre, he manifests the Summery, feel-good vibes of his home country to set himself apart from the rest – without compromising the essential grooves. Enjoy this mix from Mr. Thomas Jack.
Back once again with the 129th installment of The Dirt with Troy Kurtz & Three Wise. We’re covering all the bases this week with some tasty new snacks courtesy of our friends over at Main Course, an energized remix of Beyonce, as well as Kastle‘s impressive rework of Drake which is nothing short of class.
