Parisian French Touch extraordinaire, Lifelike, has bequeathed an absolutely epic hour long mix full of French Touch classic jams for us this morning. It’s a gift that’s so good you would never even know to ask for it. You can tell that Lifelike really put some thought into this one and made sure to include the people responsible for the French Touch takeoff — including a handful of tracks from Bangalter‘s famous Roulé imprint as well as groovers from Fafa Monteco, Alan Braxe, and Paul Johnson.

Snoballing off of my new ‘Tropicool’ alter ego and the success that has been attributed to the new set chocked full of steel drums, ocean and breeze samples, synth, cowbells and keys, I have a very special treat for you. I’ve been digging deep into the genre and the archives surfacing with many goodies hidden in both my sleeves and trunks. Within the next week, there will be 2 more installments of Waves ≠ Raves inspired by the tropicool beginning of summer sun-kissed weather. Also to top things off, our friends The Ampal Creative who we put this collab on with are releasing the Summer line of Aloha hats, that for the lack of better words, are the Frothiest lids from here to Bali.
“The waves ≠ raves consists of hand-picked gems that inspire us, tickling and tempting our creative juices. Some are old, some are new, but it is what we are listening to now. They are groovey, flowing, and sun-kissed just like that perfect wave. They are uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They sound the best with a babe in one hand, a cold brewski in the other, and the sand beneath your feet. Stay Dreamy.”
Waves ≠ Raves Vol. 8
All Files Zipped —-> HERE <—- Kick off your shoes, put on some chapstick, and keep it casual.
Here’s the first little sneak peak of The Ampal Creative Summer line – More to come with future Waves ≠ Raves. Entitled “The Seven Seas”
Back with the one of his dirtiest to date, Potty Mouth’s own TJR has teamed up with vocalist DJ Gant-Man to release their “Juke It.” The full length EP is perfect for the versatile DJ set, equipped with the radio mix, original vocal mix, dub mix, and his own “TJR For The Heads” Remix. This track is down right fire and is essential for those who wanna drop the vocal mix in a more mainstream set, or drop the dub mix amongst the experienced dirty dancers (Not to mention his own remix for when you wanna set all systems to rave). Check out the booty smackin’ video above, and make sure to grab the full EP – which was just released today on Beatport
To show the homie love that we have with TJR, he has given us the premiere release of his new remix for Thomas Bangalter’s ‘Spinal Scratch,’ as well as his groovy bootleg of The Doors ‘Riders On The Storm.’
