As a rock band whose style is heavily influenced by dark, synth-based, big bands of the 80s, it makes perfect sense for The Penelopes to remix their heroes, The Cure.  The Penelopes’ exquisite remix of “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure is so full of sunshine & bounce that even the most pale, sun deprived Goth wouldn’t think twice about putting on their best black swimsuit & frolicking in the sun while dancing to this one.  Don’t forget that SPF 100 & waterproof mascara!

The Penelopes have a big 2014 lined up with a brand new single coming out in mid-April along with an accompanying video & hot remix package.  Can’t wait for that!  Until then, enjoy this heavenly new remix…

Alright alright alright…our main man Viceroy channels his inner Dazed and Confused with his remix of “Summer Life” by The Penelopes.  It’s last-day-of-school-Summertime vibes as Viceroy pays homage to “Free Ride” by The Edgar Winter Group with some funky guitar-lickin’ dance vibes.  Hop in your muscle car & head out to the woods:  The Penelopes + Viceroy are hosting a “Beginning of Summer” kegger.  NO FRESHMAN.

I’m always a sucker for sweet + sexy female vocals.  So naturally this is the second go-round on GDD™ for “Now Now Now” by The Penelopes, which features the seductive styling of female vocalist Laura Kidd.  Yesterday we featured The C90s remix of “Now Now Now” on The Dirt #58 (grab the 320 HERE) and today we come across another dazzling remix, this time by UK House master (and one of the GDD™ 2011 Breakthrough Artists of the Year)  Miguel Campbell.  Check out his smoothed out remix below (complete with a bassline that is straight from outer space).  The track also received A-Trak’s stamp of approval on his Fools Gold Radio Mix last month.

Bonus: Check out the original + peep the wonderful video for “Now Now Now” below!
