What’s up my fellow dirty dancers, I hope your weekend is treating you as well as it is treating me. This has been a great week in music, whether your in Miami or not (and if you are, I want you to know I hate you a little bit). Anyways, I was very honored when FuzZ, Avedon and Zedex all decided to contribute to this weeks dirt! From complex IDM to French House, the three artists certainly differ in their sound, but not their unmistakable talent. With a wide range of songs to choose from on this weeks dirt, there is certainly something for all of you. So without further ado, myself, Fuzz, Avedon and Zedex present this week’s dirt after the jump!
*Check out the exclusive tracks from Fuzz, Zedex & St. Andrew!
If any of you guys are in LA tomorrow night, be sure to head to CINESPACE to see the CLASSIXX record release party along with The Japanese Popstars, Them Jeans, and Dan Oh. Get there from 10-11 to get some free vodka into you.
the japanese popstars are on fire! the trio hails from derry, northern ireland, and are absolutely blowing up the united kingdom right now. their debut album released on gung-ho recordings titled we just are has been nominated for XFM’s new music award and the trio also was voted best breakthrough producers of 2008 in this year’s best of british awards. some of their excellent tracks include remixes of groove armada, the ting tings, the music, and beyonce. in addition to their remixes, the group has produced some killer singles, including the one i’m giving you here called electronic poet. they will be touring the UK until early march so if you are out this way check out their myspace for a stop near you.
