In addition to 2 Bears 1 Love, Raf and Joe announced that they have been spending a good amount of time in the studio lately working on their sophomore 2 Bears album, which I would very much hope to come out by next spring. Last month, we heard that The 2 Bears will be releasing their debut album on DFA records on the 30th of January, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. The highly anticipated release will feature some of my favorite tracks of last year including ‘Be Strong,’ ‘Bear Hug,’ and their newest single just released this week, ‘Work.’ The ‘Work’ EP is incredible. Not only is the original an embodiment of all that I love about The 2 Bears, but it also comes along with top-notch remixes from Toddla T, Oliver $, Supabeatz, and Franky Rizardo. Stream below and go grab the whole thang on iTunes now.

Much to my excitement, The 2 Bears announced today that they will be releasing their debut album, Be Strong, on DFA Records digitally on January 31st, with a physical release coming sometime in the spring. Encompassing multiple genres from UK Funky to Dancehall to a bit of Garage, Be Strong embodies a sense of London soul that Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy have built up together over the past year or so, and it’s this uniqueness that has made me such a fan. To tide you over until the release in 2012, The 2 Bears have sent over the brand new music video to their track, ‘Work,’ which will be found on the new album.
