Chic feat. Nile Rogers, Giorgio Moroder, Tensnake, Oliver, and Destructo. Woah. The biggest names in Disco from the past two decades all in one sentence, all on one bill, this coming May, as presented by HARD. With their Dischoteque stage in recent years, HARD has given the nod to the timeless genre on multiple occasions, but this time they give it the spotlight for what is sure to be a transcendent timeline of Disco’s existence in the modern dance music industry. On one hand you have the men who have virtually given birth to the movement, men who have worked with the legends your parents used to get down to. Then on the other, the producers who have/are keeping the genre alive in it’s current state. You have the chance to hear history unfold, a chance to understand an idea that has managed to keep it’s footing all this time. Continue Reading

love sublime

Man, the Love Sublime EP release is just so perfect. Tensnake has lined up an unreal remix cast for the March 9th release, with Duke Dumont, Le Youth, Jonas Rathsman, and Ewan Pearson all contributing their styles on the already groovy original. The Duke himself posted up his rendition via Soundcloud this week, and it’s easy to tell that we’ll be hearing this many times leading into the spring. Mark your calendars, Tensnake will be bestowing his very much anticipated debut full length, Glow, on March 11th just in time for festie season :) √+

Love Tensnake

March 7th couldn’t come quickly enough. The 66th day of 2014 will bring the release of the mighty Tensnake‘s debut album, Glow, which will host what we’re hoping to be some of the best House and Disco of the year. Collaborating with legends like Stuart Price and Nile Rodgers, along with vocal offerings from MNEK, Fiora, and more to be announced, Glow should be one of the most anticipated releases in the month leading up to Miami.

The second taste of the record has been offered up today via Soundcloud in the form of “Love Sublime” — the nostalgic collaboration between Tensnake, Rodgers, and Fiora. It’s a sing-along jam that definitely buries it’s roots in decades past. A remix EP is set for release in advance of the album release, with new renditions from Grammy-nominated Duke Dumont, Ewan Pearson, and Le Youth. Give it a listen below.

German vibe master, Tensnake, released his most recent EP, 58BPM/See Right Through, back in August featuring the lovely vocals of Fiora on both the A and B side of the Astralwerks release. A couple of months later, Astralwerks has recruited a great cast of remixers for each track, with Londoners Medlar and Toyboy & Robin each delivering excellent House renditions ready for the floor, while Tensnake pays an homage to the legend, Todd Edwards, with his own “Toddsnake” remix, using the innovator’s signature chopped arrangement for a great uptempo remake of his original. Have a listen to all three below and snag it over on iTunes. Continue Reading

After a huge response from the premiere of their single “Cold Nights” earlier this year, the Brooklyn-based duo Chordashian have been hard at work with forthcoming productions set to release from now into the new year. We have for you today their follow-up original entitled “Skyscraper Souls”, which takes the beautifully melodic vocals of Marie Seyrat from Freedom Fry and carries them along playfully deeper house chords all the way through. Fans of Tensnake and the French Express crew will be all over this one, so listen below and grab it for FREE!
