Bird Peterson is no stranger to the music industry. Between managing multiple music personalities, to spearheading a label, he’s been able to craft quite the brand for himself. In preparation for their forthcoming release on JFK (of MSTRKRFT)‘s Teenage Riot Recs next month, the SLO-native duo Tasty Treat is giving away their collab Cultivation EP w/ Nasty Nate to the fans to hold them over. Here’s what they had to say:
“We are so excited to finally release this EP to you all for FREE!!! These are some of our favorite tunes to date. Cultivation features a Moombah-tempo Electro track and a giant Electro-Trap tune that will surely make the dancefloor shake! We truly appreciate all the support everyone has been giving us and we hope you enjoy this release as much as we do.”

Coming off the massive release ‘Pari’ with Bart B More, the newly LA-settled Harvard Bass wastes no time in dropping a huge new EP teaser on us to start the weekend. The PLEX EP is forthcoming on Teenage Riot Records (headed by JFK of MSTRKRFT), and features the new original along with three incredibly eclectic versions provided by Ego Troopers, St. Mandrew and John Roman. Ringing true to his sound, the EP title track ‘Plex’ is a whirlwind of techno, driven by HB’s signature buzzing leads and stabbing kicks. The remixes, however, make it ‘something for everyone’ – from Ego Troopers’ dutch house, the chainsaw electro of St. Mandrew and the deeper bass and staggering tribal sounds of John Roman. Check it out below, and grab it on July 31st.
