Aside from the fact that Without You, the collaborative effort between two long-time GDD™ favorites Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Dillon Francis, is an absolutely beautiful and uplifting song, the music video and tune are now being utilized for a beautiful and uplifting cause. This is what dance music is all about. Big up to Dillon, Flosstradamus for the apparent inspiration, and to TEED and Dillon for being both extremely talented and cool dudes. Get the details in a personal message from Dillon after the jump…

REBELRAVE TV never disappoints!
Crosstown Rebels has enlisted T-E-E-D. to mix the Get Lost VI compilation, getting us very excited for perhaps our finest night of the summer, if not the year… GET LOST LA. Digging very deep, quirky, soulful, a very nice eclectic mix of treats and treasures– particularly the end of track #4, Axel Boman – Klinsmann. So cosmic.
Now I’m not one for Disclosure remixes of any kind as they usually just disgrace the finesse of the originals, but Orlando has absolutely hit this one out of the park. Toeing the line between ethereal and heavy, this remix from TEED offers up a new take on “F For U” that might just be bigger than the Lawrence brothers’ original. No word on release date yet, but maybe we’ll see a Settle Remixed release coming soon?
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs released his first mix CD last week as the Get Lost VI compilation for Crosstown Rebels, featuring 2CDs, 32 tracks, and over 140 minutes of music. Debuting on this compilation is the new collaboration between Orlando (TEED) and Eats Everything titled “Lion, The Lion.” The new single, available only on Get Lost VI as of now, reaches into the Techno/Tech House world and is not immediately recognizable as something you’d usually hear from either of these UK producers. It’s gritty, spacey, and experimental; definitely an awesome synergy occurring here…

Foals have a new highly anticipated album all set for release this February and what better way to help launch the hype into the stratosphere than a remix by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Foals x TEED is a mindblowing match made in dance floor heaven – TEED’s remix of “My Number” is deep, dark, indie-club vibes at its finest.
TEED’s SoundCloud says the track will be “Out soon x”. This one’s going to be massive…soon cannot come soon enough.

In anticipation for one of my favorite holidays (mostly because it almost always lasts WAY longer than a day, and you definitely can’t say that about 4th of July now can you?) I’ve decided to bring you the unofficial chemical sponsor of this fine day we call Halloween for this edition of Science Sundays: Sucrose.
Sucrose is some pretty basic stuff. Just table sugar. The ultimate “guilty pleasure” and sworn enemy of weight-conscious folks the world over. It’s what makes things we eat sweet! When listening to the tracks below, know that I am erring on the side of an eight-year-old and NOT your dietician and saying you can have all the sugar you want. These songs are, for lack of a better term, pretty freakin’ sweet. Some are just feel good-tracks, a nice little boost of energy like a handful of M&Ms. Some are full on guilty pleasures, like that second brownie you definitely would be embarrassed to be caught eating but loved every delicious morsel. Either way, the moral of the story here is that a little sugar in your day is a good thing. This halloween, grab your ring pop & go dance the night away.
