It’s the first weekend of February and Billboard has a treat for all of us electronic music lovers with their latest issue “Dance Dance Evolution.” It’s crazy how far it has come in the US. Anyway, I have news featuring Electric Forest, Sasquatch Music Festival, Steve Aoki, Burning Man, Orbital, Miike Snow, High Contrast, Nicolas Jaar, & Bon Iver. Please read on after the jump.

The most worthy/entertaining answer will be announced Friday @ NOON!

Today, GDD™ fav, Bassnectar, is graciously giving away a 6-pack of remixes from his album, Divergent Spectrum, which was released in August of last year. The freebie pack comes equipped with remixes from Steve Aoki, The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Terravita, ill.Gates, and you guessed it, Bassnectar. I’d love to give my two cents on each track, but I’ll step back and let Lorin handle it this time.

To kick things off for my residency @ the infamous Dim Mak Studios (aka Dim Mak Tuesdays) in 2012, I have created a new mixtape to get you all hyped for the year to come. I’ve packed it with several of the artists that DMS has hosted  and some of the upcoming talent, as well as some of my own forthcoming releases and friends too! So grab ahold of the new year with this boomer, and I hope to see you all on Tuesdays @ Dim Mak Studios.

Hot off his heels from his debut of shows in the US, our good buddy Neon Stereo has given us the greenlight to bring you 2 more exclusive remixes just in time for your NYE playlists. Following his monster bootleg of the this year’s Justice single, Neon Stereo takes two of his favorite tracks and slams them into electro overdrive. Providing his own commentary for both new remixes, Neon Stereo presents two bangers for the taking and a preview of his forthcoming original production. Enjoy!

I was anxious to post this track for you guys because I am so glad to finally clear its rumors. The buzz after this past year’s Ultra Music Festival left many new tunes unidentified and gossiped, namely the “collab” between Afrojack & Steve Aoki in what was being deemed ‘Morfium.’ With thousands of you tube comments gasping for more information, Afrojack has released Lost & Found 2, the follow up slice of the big guys unreleased crate. The contents lies ‘Show Me Your Rage’, the true name of the track. Love this side of Afrojack because it reminds me of those dirty washing-machine speaking sounds from the Bloody Beetroots in 2008.

Tomorrow night, Orange County gets an extra large dose of loud with a DJ pairing thats sure to make even the strollers at Disneyland feel the boom. Dim Mak chief Steve Aoki heads back to the Grove of Anaheim, this time accompanied by LA bass aficionado 12th Planet and massively supported canuck Autoerotique. Both Aoki and 12th planet fresh off international tours will be truely bringing it home as they join forces in southern California to destroy this Thanksgiving weekend. Joining the madness will be newly found Into The AM residents LBCK and DirtyRock.

Why should you care? GDD will be in the house with Dim Mak (live) + Media Contender bringing you exclusive photos and live footage of the event, so that even if you can’t get to the show, you can have your own personal festival while fist pumping in your jammy jams. Plus, who else is gonna bring you more proof of aspiring Dirt babes with our branding stuck all over them?

Yesterday, our boys Josh & Angelo from PeaceTreaty sent us over a pair of previews of their upcoming remixes that will be hitting Beatport in the next couple of weeks, and we are impressed as usual. The first track is a hot n’ heavy new take on Moby‘s ‘After,’ complete with a light synthy Big Room build and a heavy bassline drop that I can’t wait to hear on some professional speakers. Already gaining support from Steve Angello, Hardwell, and Tommy Trash, this remix will be released on Moby’s Lil Idiot Records on Monday, October 31st. The second remix on our plate is Diplo & Oliver Twizt‘s ‘Go,’ and personally, I can really hear the always-improving PeaceTreaty signature sound in this one. This EP will be released on Mad Decent on November 8th, and you probably have heard it played out already by some people you may have heard of: Tiesto, Benny Benassi, Afrojack, Chuckie, and Mr. Aoki. Keep ’em coming fellas!

Since we launched the remix competition last month for our good friend Clockwork‘s track, ‘Weaver,’ the stems were downloaded by hundreds and we received more submissions than we knew what to do with! But after a lot of listening and judging, Clockwork has determined his favorite three new takes on his original big room blaster, and we are stoked to announce them for you today.

1st Place Winner
Clockwork – Weaver (No Body Remix) by No Body (Official)

1st Runner Up
Clockwork – Weaver (Marius K. Remix) by Marius K.

2nd Runner Up
Clockwork – Weaver (PTN Remix) by Pump The Noise

The decision wasn’t easy, but the duo from Los Angeles known as No Body proved to have the best remix amongst all of the producers in the competition. The new rendition sticks to Clockwork’s original Big Room sound, but added some fresh new flavor that I just can’t wait to hear played out. As stated in the original competition announcement, the winning remix will be played out by Clockwork at this year’s Hard Halloween in Los Angeles, so congratulations Kevin and Ruben of No Body, you’ll be hearing it out on a proper system in a month and expect a GDD™ swag pack in the mail soon!

We’d also like to give a huge thanks to all of the remixers that submitted to this competition. If yours didn’t make it into the top 3 this time, don’t worry, we’ll be hosting plenty more competitions in the near future!

Clockwork will be releasing a new EP on Dim Mak this year called Squad Up and it’s already smashing crowds around the country. Check out this video below of Mr. Aoki dropping it at Identity Festival in San Diego a few weeks ago.
