Back from holiday weekend with a bang – our Miami brethren Damaged Goods just flipped the recent Spinnin’ Deep chart topper “Blinded” by Lucas & Steve, taking the chord driven hit into future house overdrive. Stripped of the vocal and focusing more on the melody and punch, the original radio friendly version is now perfect for the club. Listen below and grab it for FREE DOWNLOAD!
Two of dance music’s finest, Zeds Dead and Oliver Heldens, have come together for a new single, “You Know.” Set for release on February 2nd via Spinnin’ Records, the track melds elements from both of their signature sounds for a club-ready tech-house number featuring pitched-up vocals, and various FX to accent the driving groove. Enjoy above and head after the jump to check out Oliver’s other recent release, “Last All Night (Koala).”
Following up on his breakthrough single, “Gecko,” the emerging 18-year-old Dutch producer/DJ, Oliver Heldens, releases his huge remix of Martin Garrix’s “Animals” via Spinnin’ Records. With this release, he continues his “Heldeep” productions transforming Garrix’s hit into a big-room underground track with a heavy, up-tempo deep house vibe. Heldens, along with the Bixel Boys, may be one of the first artists to bridge the gap between big-room listeners and the underground community.
The stylish and multifaceted producer/DJ, TheFatRat, releases his first original of the year via Spinnin’ Records. With this incendiary new track, “Splinter,” TheFatRat takes on a much heavier sound with monstrous dubstep weaving in and out of beautifully orchestrated strings. “Splinter” is certainly not for the faint of heart, so proceed with caution, you have been warned! Check out the new tune after the jump and be on the lookout for TheFatRat with some more original secret weapons in his arsenal this year.
Two bouncy Holland duos, Chocolate Puma & Firebeatz, have joined forces for a new single due out on Spinnin’ Records July 16th, and it’s already gained massive support and attention from some of the world’s tops including Pete Tong, Axwell, Diplo, and Fatboy Slim. Everyone seems to be begging to get this track to play this summer, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until next month for its release. For now, this great music video will do.
Who better to collaborate than two of the leading progressive house producers in 2011, Hardwell & Nicky Romero. I had the pleasure of seeing Hardwell spin immediately following an epic Dada Life set at CONTROL back in June, but I have yet to see Nicky Romero. As I can tell from the preview, the world-class power duo’s new track, “Beta,” grows from a groovy and melodic beginning into a big room monster with an extra electro grind to facilitate your dirty dancing. Mark your calendars, it’s out on September 26th via Spinnin’ Records.
