We’ve been following Solé Bicycle‘s Fixtape series since the beginning, and they’ve been successful in maintaining a steady flow of tasteful mixes from some of dance music’s finest. Their most recent offering is no exception, as they’ve brought on the Crew Love bosses, Soul Clap, for an exclusive, live edition of the fixtape series. Taken from the Crew Love WMC 2016 party at the famed Electric Pickle, the mix will navigate you through some deep cuts of house, nu-disco, funk, hip-hop, and more to ensure you receive a healthy dose of eclectic vibes that the Bostonian duo is respected for. Listen above and download the mix for safe keeping, Soul Clap played Yuma at Coachella this year for good reason.

Jamaican producer David Marston is set to release his beautiful new EP “Kindness of Bearer” and today we’re bringing you the EP’s emotional crowning point, “Sometimes It’s Hard”. The song is an affecting ride that bends, buckles & twists its way though your body, right into your heart. “Sometimes It’s Hard” dares to be different than most Downtempo/Deep Disco tracks with an arpeggiated synth & contorted sound that’s all wound together by the evocative lyrics & vocals of New York songstress Brigitte Zozula. A stunning close to a stunning EP.
The “Kindness of Bearer” EP by David Marston is out April 1st on the always fantastic Soul Clap Records.
It’s been another scorching week here in Los Angeles, and of course, there have been several great remixes to match. Some of dance music’s finest, including the funky fresh duo Soul Clap, LA native Sage Caswell, Symbols boss Kastle, New York’s Bender, and Anjunadeep’s Jody Wisternoff, have been lending their talents to their counterparts for some fantastic offerings that hit all the right notes. If these remixes are any indication, we’re in for a fall season overflowing with excellent music, and what can we say? We can’t complain. Listen to Soul Clap’s rendition of Slow Hands’ “I’ll Find Me” above and check out the rest after the jump.
As we inch closer to the last quarter of the year, many artists are bringing their A-game for a strong finish. Some have been working tirelessly on albums all year, while others have been staying consistent with singles and remixes, but there are those who have been doing it all. For this week, I wanted to do a roundup of some of the stand out remixes that surfaced over the past handful of days. The Dirtybird don Claude VonStroke, funked up duo Soul Clap, electro-pop producers ROOM8, Anjunadeep affiliates Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, and France’s beat-smith, Nebbra, have all come forth with some remixes that are cutting through the noise, and keeping the dance music community happy and healthy. Check out Claude’s summery, jazz-infused rendition of Catz ‘n Dogz’ “Get It Right” featuring Tanika above, and check out the four other highlights after the jump.
