The Soul Clap duo have been up to no good lately – in the best way possible. With the release of this highly anticipated original, a track you might recognize from their recent sets, the two have weaponized the DJ community with an instant classic. Apologies for the hiatus, friends. Last week that evil siren Vegas clutched the GDD™ crew tightly in her grasp and forbade us from blessing your ears with that week’s dosage of The Dirt. Alas, here we go, with ten tracks curated by our own Troy Kurtz & Burn Unit, fresh off two killer sets aboard the GDD™ Presents: Wide Awake Art Car Stage at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. Get it into you.
The majority of the GDD™ crew attended Coachella last weekend and had an absolute blast, so we’re heading back out to the desert on Friday for another fun-filled weekender at The Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs. Beginning Friday afternoon, we’ll be poolside for the Urban Outfitters Love Me Pop-Up shop, where GDD™ DJs will play alongside a grip of sun-loving artists including Warpaint, Turbotito, Data Romance, and more.
Following Urban Outfitters event on Friday will be the highly anticipated dirtybird Desert Edition pool party on Saturday featuring Claude VonStroke, J.Phlip, Justin Jay, and Ardalan, as well as another fantastic Crew Love event on Sunday with Wolf+Lamb, Soul Clap, Nick Monaco, and more.
For those out on the west coast, Cielo is a perfectly sized club in New York’s meatpacking district that easily has the best sound in the city, and arguably the country. Well, last month Cielo officially turned the big one-oh and celebrated with 10 amazing events and twice as much talent. Find out all about it after the jump!

While I personally can’t stand to hear “Make That Booty Clap” one more time this year, there’s no denying the massive success it had across all genres of dance music in 2012. From Soul Clap to Skrillex, Kill Frenzy united the community with his rump-shaking masterpiece. Now, the Belgian follows up his debut EP on dirtybird with Go To The Mo — a 3-track EP which once again demonstrates Kill Frenzy’s ability to make dance music for all sorts. Bits of Breaks, Techno, Bass, and more can be heard throughout the 3 original productions, leading me to believe that Kill Frenzy has found a good home here in America with the eclectic dirtybird family. Go To The Mo is out today on Beatport and will be released worldwide on the 25th. √+ Continue Reading
