Pleasurekraft have a way of creeping me out with their productions in the best way possible. It’s the “Tarantula” vibe that does it, with eerie synth leads that truly depict a dark, ominous tone while being 100% made for the dancefloor. This is true of their recent release of “Sinister Strings,” which is actually a re-creation of the 1997 tune “Nightmare” from Venetian producer Alberto Bertapelle AKA Brainbug. Pleasurekraft have completely rebuilt the track from the ground up, not using any samples from the original track, which is pretty neat. Throw this in your Halloween playlist for sure.
As we lie in the heart of summer, BONES brings us the 4th installment of THE DEEP END, another refreshing hour of the underground to quench the heat of the season. Featuring new and classic tracks from the likes of SBTRKT, Torren Foot, Hot Since 82, Justin Martin & Eats Everything, Dusky, MK, Pleasurekraft, Mark Starr, Louie Fresco, and many more…

Apologies for the hiatus, friends. Last week that evil siren Vegas clutched the GDD™ crew tightly in her grasp and forbade us from blessing your ears with that week’s dosage of The Dirt. Alas, here we go, with ten tracks curated by our own Troy Kurtz & Burn Unit, fresh off two killer sets aboard the GDD™ Presents: Wide Awake Art Car Stage at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. Get it into you.

GDD favorites Pleasurekraft are back with a HUGE collab release with friends Jaceo and Vedic, unleashing the brutally infectious tech house their known for. Here’s what they had to say:
“On the heels of our “American Hustle” EP – we are back with our boys Jaceo & Vedic – this time on Bitten Records with our ‘313 (Detroit Calling)’ EP. Named after the city’s area code – lyrically the track is an homage to the city’s resilience in the face of constant hardships – to give birth to a musical genre and movement that has touched the lives of millions around the world.
The flip side – “212” is not actually named after New York City’s dialing code as one might suspect – but is rather the temperature (in fahrenheit) that water turns from a liquid into a gas (pretty fucking hot). The words – courtesy of the one and only Ray Winstone – from the incredible film “Sexy Beast” – underscore that hot feeling we’ve all experienced in our favorite neighborhood ‘sweat on the walls’ nightclub. Ok so maybe it wasn’t 212 fahrenheit in the club – but you get the point!”
Green Velvet is back at the Avalon tomorrow night along with the always groovy Pleasurekraft. Also supporting the House music legend will be LA talent Rick Rude and Craig Williams, with an opening set from Jaceo. We expect a night of great tunes and glowing green mohawks.

Building tremendous anticipation since WMC this march and its debut on Annie Mac’s show last month, Pleasurekraft‘s ‘Skeleton Key’ is out today on Great Stuff Records. With the help of house legend Green Velvet (aka Cajmere), The haunting tech house of Pleasurekraft take on the bouncey vocals of Green Velvet and create a rollercoaster ride bigger than either of them probably expected. This is one of my top tunes for the year already as well as coolest collaboration yet. I strongly suggest you pick up this tune on beatport, plus check out more of Pleasurekraft and Green Velvet below!

Ever since the first time I heard ‘Tarantula,’ I was in love with Pleasurekraft. Their eerie yet very danceable sound is so unique, it can fit into sets of multiple genres. On that note, I’m excited to say that Pleasurekraft will be headlining this week’s CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood along with Deniz Koyu, the Dutchman whose Progressive Electro style has been fully supported by everyone from Fedde Le Grand to Dada Life. Should be a fun one folks!
