Ladies and gentlemen, we have a treat in store for you this week. This week’s dirt features the progressive house prodigy, Pierce Fulton and myself, Tre.  Pierce has put together a list of energetic diverse bangers and I have selected some of my recent favorites in a number of genres; from IDM to dark, rolling electro.  So lets get to it!

Building tremendous anticipation since WMC this march and its debut on Annie Mac’s show last month, Pleasurekraft‘s ‘Skeleton Key’ is out today on Great Stuff Records. With the help of house legend Green Velvet (aka Cajmere), The haunting tech house of Pleasurekraft take on the bouncey vocals of Green Velvet and create a rollercoaster ride bigger than either of them probably expected. This is one of my top tunes for the year already as well as coolest collaboration yet. I strongly suggest you pick up this tune on beatport, plus check out more of Pleasurekraft and Green Velvet below!

Ever since the first time I heard ‘Tarantula,’ I was in love with Pleasurekraft. Their eerie yet very danceable sound is so unique, it can fit into sets of multiple genres. On that note, I’m excited to say that Pleasurekraft will be headlining this week’s CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood along with Deniz Koyu, the Dutchman whose Progressive Electro style has been fully supported by everyone from Fedde Le Grand to Dada Life. Should be a fun one folks!

The year was 2010. A creepy, crawly song was climbing the Beatport charts, and House DJs around the world were supporting this arachno-tune that seemed to fit into any set. Pleasurekraft‘s ‘Tarantula’ had spun its web throughout the entire dance music community, before receiving ‘Best Tech House Track’ at the Beatport awards in Miami that following March. With handfuls of extremely well-produced originals and remixes as well as a global tour schedule since then, we thought it’d be good to catch up with Kalle and Kaveh of Pleasurekraft before their set tonight at Playhouse in Hollywood.
