It’s not very often I come across a song that makes my jaw hit the floor, but this monster from Billy Kenny & Wongo hits all the right spots. The sound design is to be rivaled by none as swirling sub bass envelops your ears and airy synth pads tantalize the mind. Minimal vocals scattered throughout tie a nice little bow on the formidable package that is sure to be one of the stand out house tunes of Winter 2016. So whatcha waitin’ for…head on over to BeatPort and cop this bad boy right this moment! Purchase HERE.
The rising Los Angeles-based duo, Casino Gold, has released the excellent remix pack for their feel-good house anthem, “All I Need,” via Perfect Driver Music. Kicking off the package, our own Troy Kurtz gives us a striking deep house floor filler led by a huge, driving bassline paired with percussive/vocal accents. Ruff Hauser follows suit with a stand-out bass-heavy remix that incorporates an unexpected half-time breakdown, while Evil Twin offers up a piano-laden house groover. The Perfect Driver label head, Matthew Anthony, then closes out the pack in proper form with a more experimental interpretation that features unique synth work over up-tempo tribal rhythms. With these brilliant renditions, Casino Gold successfully revitalizes “All I Need,” just in time for Miami. Purchase the remix pack on Beatport.
Fresh off his stint of California shows from Avalon to Lightning in a Bottle, Aaron Snapes has shared some previews of his upcoming summer releases. His new Drum Beats EP off Perfect Driver Music features an original from Snapes and a remix from our friend Kirin Rider. Drum Beats delivers a heavy 4X4 Booty/Tech groove while Kirin’s remix twists up the original to fit her own San Fran flavor. Give the tracks a listen and mark your calendars for its August 23rd release!
