This June, Scion A/V and Dim Mak are hitting the road with a 17-date tour featuring 6 of Dim Mak’s most promising talents. They’ll be bussing all around the US, starting off June 6th in sunny San Diego, CA and finishing up in Phoenix, AZ on the 27th. For my fellow UCSB kids + alumns, you’d be happy to know that the name of this tour originates from Steve Aoki‘s famous apartment complex (dubbed ‘the Pickle Patch’) in Isla Vista while he was attending the most amazing/ridiculous college in the world.
ATTENTION ALL DIRTY DANCERS IN THE DIRTY DIRTY SOUTH:
This Saturday (May 14th), 0ur Overthrow brethren are hosting their infamous Sloppy Seconds party in Atlanta – this time showcasing their family ties with Gotta Dance Dirty and inviting your very own BONES to bring my LA noise to the east coast alongside Tamara Sky and of course our GDD/Overthrow lovechild Troy Kurtz. If you are anywhere in a 200 mile radius I expect you not to miss this one – not just because the poster artwork is too cool for the pool, but because were gonna make ATL get bass-face banana tits. Yeah, you heard right.
Get your swag started with TKO’s moombahton remix of GDD fav Peacetreaty‘s ‘Change’ and of course their original summer heater ‘Cabo Fuego’ below:
In the spirit of today’s hazy festivities, our good buddies Peacetreaty dug into the vault to let us release this exclusive track that the boys made one year ago today, in honor of their first live gig. The drops are pretty big and the samples in it are hilarious and definitely worth a kick back, so light one up and pump this out.
To get you prepped for the big one next weekend, come out to the Sunset Junction (3303 Sunset Blvd.) for some pre-fest action with the proceeds going to Japan tsunami relief. I will be spinning some tunes alongside our buddy Sam of Peacetreaty, Eric Israel and Kylen Morgan. On top of that, you can also catch sets from local heroes Fight from Above, L.A. Font, and Telegram. $10 at the door and its going for a good cause. Have some drinks, do some house, no big deal. LEZZGO!
To get all your heads out there ready for the festival madness about to ensue @ Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland, our boys Peacetreaty have sent over their new remix for Band of Horses. This track is BIG. They’re bouncin’ off the walls excited for their performance tomorrow, opening on the main stage (3:00-4:15pm) so get there early to see them MOVE THE HOUSE.

It’s been a long time coming, but what better way to release my newest mix as the exclusive promo for the upcoming Snowball Music Festival - March 4th – 6th in Vail, Colorado. I will be performing along side a phenomenal lineup of electronic acts (just check out the dance music poster at the bottom of this post and get the idea of whats about to happen) and solid indie bands (Flaming Lips, anyone?) I was going to try to include tracks from several of the artists playing the festival but I just have too many other great tunes that I’ve been waiting to unleash on you dirty dancin’ fools. So whether you’re gonna be with us in Colorado destroying the dance tent, or shakin that booty and fist pumping at your computer screen, grab this little doozy and get your dirty on. Oh, and I’ve decided to add the soundcloud player so you guys can listen from work or wherever you need to sneak your cheap thrills in.
As if the original’s weren’t daunting enough for any crowd to withstand, our boys Peacetreaty have released a gargantuan (yes, had to use that) remix package on Dim Mak for their new 2 track EP. A-side Cal State Anthem is a huge collaboration with BC’s Kissed With A Noise, and features remixes by Metropolis, Cold Blank, Lazrtag, Religion, Sharooz, Tom Piper, Urchins and Valerna. If that didn’t just make an accident in your pants, the massive B-side ‘Change’ features remixes by Apster, Dan Oh, Dem Slackers, Flinch, and a show-stopper by our personal friend Mr. White (featured in my ///Halloween Mix). The EP came out this week, so check out the preview teasers below (check the soundcloud for which remix is which!) and buy it on Beatport!
