Paradise Garage means a lot of things to a lot of different people, but if you were around NYC in the 90’s than those two words take on a profoundly holier meaning. For those who are new, Paradise Garage served as a playground to NYC’s bourgeoning house and disco scene welcoming any and all types of boogie monsters looking to spread love and joy in the now SoHo district of NYC. What now seems like common practice was once pioneered by the legendary dance hall including placing the DJ at the center of the party’s focus, a practice that birthed the funk phenomenon Larry Levan in the flesh. Did you somehow miss Wolfgang Gartner on his recent Love & War tour?  Well shame on you, nothing beats the live experience…BUT do we have a treat for all those who missed out! We just came across this recording of Wolfgang’s 2 hour live set at the Palladium a month ago and just had to share it with you all!

The set brings back some wicked memories of the night and features several unreleased tracks too. Nothing more satisfying than finally finding out the name of the unknown track that has been stuck in my head for over a month! “Evil Lurks” by Wolfgang and Tom Staar – watch for it at 40min in.
