The Presets get the Nu-Disco Treatment

Gotta Dance Dirty favorite Plastic Plates is back again. This time he puts his magic touch on The Presets  song “Promises” from their newest album Pacifica (Available Now). He carefully adds in that characteristic touch of indie dance & nu-disco keyboard that he is famous for.

It is definitely one of those tracks you cannot pass up on. It will be released on December 7th on Modular Records. I highly suggest you pick it up.

Fun Fact

Felix Bloxsom (Plastic Plates) used to be the drummer for The Presets for a short time in a early 3 man incarnation of the band.

The Presets‘ third album, Pacifica, has finally been released and the lads will soon finish up their Parklife dates in Australia before heading over to the US for 10 dates across the country including a massive show here in Los Angeles at Club Nokia along with Flight Facilities, Oliver, and Yuksek on October 27th. To keep the buzz going, the guys have premiered a stunning remix from UK House producer, Fort Romeau, of their single, “Ghosts,” today on Life + Times. “Youth in Trouble” is the first original track released by Australian electro duo The Presets since 2009, and we couldn’t be more ecstatic about it. It employs a harder Techno edge, allowing it to transcend its groovy Nu-Disco roots. “Youth in Trouble” is bizarre, dark, and delicious, all the while maintaining a casual feel. The music video accurately sums it up: an offbeat kaleidoscope that oscillates between disturbing and nonchalant. We look forward to hearing more from the Presets as their new album, Pacifica, is due out in September.
