The Foundation, is just that. It’s me going back to my roots of dub, hip hop and acid. It’s my modern take of decades of music I grew up with infused with electronic music (elements).”

-David Heartbreak

This EP is seven tracks of big, brutal, gangster ass reggae vibes.  Melding dub, reggae, acid, trap, electro and everything in between; David Heartbreak stretches his musical roots with an incredibly diverse and engaging sonic pallet.  Perfectly suited for OWSLA, who just keeps supplying us with the goodies this week.

Seductive, funky, pounding; Kill Paris has released an EP of futuristic bass with a touch of french (and plenty of remixes).  Out now on OWSLA, its kind of like  digging through your parents’ Earth, Wind & Fire records with Skrillex and Koan Sound, in the future.  Two free downloads and the full EP stream here.

Our friends, The M Machine, recently released Part II of their epic debut album, Metropolis, a week ago today on OWSLA, and this afternoon, they’ve unveiled the brilliantly animated music video for “Tiny Anthem” — the downtempo, vocal-driven, and ruminative third track on Metropolis Part II. It’s difficult to build a concept around releases in dance music in this age, and we applaud The M Machine and those involved for truly creating art across multiple mediums with this release. Pick it up on Beatport.

Following their chart-topping collaborative EP release Careless, the infamous slime of duo Jack Beats has teamed up with label collective OWSLA once again with an evolved sound (that we’re really happy to hear). Off their forthcoming EP Somebody To Love, their first single off the release “Just A Beat” is a deeper and minimally executed (almost garage-like) production that still rings true to the signature Jack Beats sound we’ve all grown to salivate over.

The not-so-secret collaborative effort between Skrillex and Boys Noize, Dog Blood, was announced only a few months ago to large applaud. Always cool when two real ground-breakers of an industry come together to create something new, especially when they call it something as cool as DOG BLOOD.

Their new music video for the single “New Order” is just as twisted and chaotic as the track itself, featuring a dude tripping so hard he becomes a literal and figurative space cadet (following with the theme of the EP artwork…).

Oh yeah, and make sure you get in on our contest to win tickets to the Boys Noize NYC show. CLICK HERE TO ENTER CONTEST.

With his self-titled EP due out on OWSLA next Tuesday (10/16), he certainly won the heart of Skrillex and has received both support and collaboration requests from some of the most influential artists in dance music such as Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Paul Van Dyk, among others. We have the pleasure of premiering this Seven Lions mix that is a proper display of his visionary talent and unconventional style that is simply unparalleled. In just under one hour, he takes you through his multifarious selections which include his signature bass music tracks, blistering electro-house, and euphoric trance. We’ve also included a brand new track off of the EP, “She was ft. Birds of Paradise,” that is another showcase of his versatility as he ventures into the glitch-hop realm without diminishing his distinct vibe. Enjoy all of this music and spread the word, Seven Lions is just getting started.
