Our good homies the Bixel Boys have had a huge breakout year and cap it off with their follow up original EP Bring It On on the legendary NYC based Nervous Records. The title track ‘Bring It On’ is a marching band inspired monster – massive snares and cheer vocal chops tidal wave into a heavy drop of sinister brass band stabs and a bouncing bass line. The B-side ‘CPR’ carries a slower rate (113bpm and literally samples a cardiac monitor) with a warehouse feel of grinding techno/electro. The EP already has received support from the likes of Congorock, Kastle, LA Riots, Tittsworth, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Harvard Bass, Adrian Lux, 3LAU and many more.

The remix savants have really made a recent change in their sound, with their most recent releases solely being banging underground tracks with big room viability. Listen below, and be sure to catch them over NYE weekend at SnowGlobe Music Festival December 29-31 in Lake Tahoe, CA.

A big day in the books for the young Mexicali duo Thee Cool Cats – Today marked the much anticipated release of their ‘Play It Again’ EP on NYC based Nurvous Records, along with their Beatport contest winning remix for Blond:ish & Climbers on Get Physical Music. With their initial exposure coming from the world traveling support of Amine Edge & DANCE, the single “Play It Again” was almost snatched up by Amine’s new label CUFF, only to be beat to the chase by Nurvous. The other tracks on the EP “Still Gone” and “Will Never Do” keep things on a more soulful level, executing solid B-sides in the deep/disco category. Check them all out below, and support our boys on Beatport!

Known for their evocative style of “soulful, melodic, and smooth House grooves,” they have distinguished themselves as underground tastemakers armed with a crossover appeal. Just Kiddin‘s guest mix embodies this unconventional sound while taking it an extra step further with a tasteful curation of several other sought-after tracks. Keep an ear out for a special new exclusive that they’ve included, and enjoy the excellent hour of House music.
