Coming off a huge tour w/ Zedd and Alex Metric, the LA rising duo Oliver follow up their finely tuned Mechanical EP with an all-star remix collection that casts their already-diverse originals in a stunning new light. Kicking off with a stomping, fan favorite mix of “Night Is On My Mind” by festival king Dillon Francis, Mechanical Remixes kicks into even higher gear with Nom De Strip‘s big room take on “Control,” before pulling a moody left turn with Tchami‘s bouncing funky house version of “MYB,” and closing out strong with a high energy remix of “Mechanical” by new young producer Values. Machine music on all levels!
Last year’s collab track “Shake & Bake” from Nom De Strip & Bones spread like wildfire after support from the likes of Diplo, Tommy Trash and Chris Lake helped skyrocket its exposure – so far as to catch the attention of Australian diva Kylie Minogue, who loved it so much she insisted on recreating it to be her own sexy original. With the approval of NDS & Bones and the help of Chris Lake, the new version was just released on Nom’s soundcloud yesterday (written by The Dream), with already an incredible response at over 150k plays.
Check it out below, and be on the lookout for its official release!

A great thing about electronic music and its classic anthems is that they are will never be forgotten thanks to the bootleg remixes, refixes, and re-rubs that revive these tunes to be celebrated again and again. The infamous festival staple “Meet Her At The Love Parade” from Da Hool is a prime example for this rebirth, with countless versions having been created over the years. Earlier this year, the Swedish duo Savage Skulls gave us a preview of their own re-rub, and today the boys sent us the full track to giveaway to you dirty dancers. Jump back on the festival float with this massiveness!
Marinating in the unreleased oven for just enough time, the collaboration of GDD favorites Hot Mouth and Nom De Strip “Wear The Trousers” is finally ready and they’ve chosen us to serve it up just for you. If you had any idea what the fusion of these two incredible producers would sound like, this is gonna slap you in the face – which we’re happy to do to you for FREE. Grab this maniac below, and support two of the best dudes doing it. BOOM.
This friday @ CONTROL is gonna be one of the dirtiest we’ve had in awhile. We welcome back the house music legend Green Velvet, along with electro fidget crazies Nom De Strip and TJR. Make sure to arrive early, as this event will reach capacity!

It wasn’t long ago when Jon Pegnato made up half of LA Riots, but now, he has embarked on a solo mission under the Hot Mouth moniker, bringing Electro and House to the masses. In the past couple of months, Hot Mouth has been busy. Besides signing with Liaison Artists and playing at the Palms in Vegas every week, he’s been working on collaborations with Felix Cartal, Nom De Strip, TJR, and more, as well as putting together a monthly mix series for our lucky ears here at GDD™. Now, it is time for Hot Mouth to make his VS debut at The Central in Santa Monica, and we couldn’t be more excited. Support on the night will come from SF’s Realboy, Gojira, and Check&Mate.
The golden tune is finally coming out next week. After months of mystery and anticipation, TJR is unveiling ‘Funky Vodka’, his soulful swingin’ ruckus of a jam. Prepare for what I’ve BEEN calling (since last year) one of the best tracks of 2012. Set to release on Chris Lake’s Rising Music on February 20th, I can’t wait to see the widespread success and support (not to mention the remixes that will follow!)
Through hell, fire, and the awesome power of Logic Pro, our very own Bones and GDD™ favorite Nom De Strip have completed a 2-track EP that is gonna leave you with your shorts and/or skirts around your ankles come festival season. We present to you the official EP teaser preview, which features the colossal a-side ‘YO!’ and the dirty bass b-side ‘Shake & Bake’. The EP is scheduled to be released next month (details undisclosed for now). Get a listen to what you’re in for, and try not to break your computer screen fist pumping or practicing karate out of sheer excitement.
