To kick off the weekend and his performance tonight @ CONTROL, the LA native FYOR (formerly NO BODY) is giving away his youtube inspired new original It’s A Fyor. Sampling the infamous “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That” video, this one rings in as a solid crowd pleaser fit for the big room set. But make no mistake – despite the parody, this track goes from zero to main stage with a fat crunching bassline and howling lead. Grab it below for FREE, and catch FYOR tonight supporting Crookers, GTA and Valentino Khan (along with our own Burn Unit too) @ Avalon!
Fellow online publication, Techibeats, has recently crossed the threshold of record label, recruiting local talent, DSCO, to release his debut EP today; making it a big first time for everyone. For those that don’t know, DSCO was once a half of No Body, and after the split he hit the studio for his first release featuring 4 new originals that gracefully toe the line between Progressive and Electro House. My personal favorites have to be “Gravity” and “2 Live In Die In,” but I’ll let you make your own decision. Listen below and pick it up on Beatport now. Continue Reading
IT’S BOOTY TIME!
Kevin Chapman of the former duo No Body has take up the new moniker FYOR and has been on a warpath of production since then, sending his powerful electro house straight for the main room. To kick off his debut, he has released his first “BOOTY PACK” – featuring (4) bootleg remixes of Chris Lake, Eva Simons, Deth Hertz, and No Body. Who doesn’t love a FREE booty?
We always love a good ol’ fashioned birthday bonanza on Thursday nights at Versus in Santa Monica, and this week, we’ll be celebrating the birth of our friend John Llamas with a handful of DJ sets from our friends No Body, Sam Hiller, Digitalife, and MNFR. Birthday suits and Jameson shots encouraged as per usual.
After a massive response from their hard-hitting bootleg of Funky Vodka, the rising duo NO BODY have answered back quickly with 2 remix versions for Wolfgang Gartner‘s newest single ‘Redline.’ The deluxe version features a certain anthemic vocal for those big room lovers, while the instrumental mix focuses on piping electro lead (similar to Nicky Romero’s ‘Toulouse’) that does justice to the cheesy chords of the original. Once again, NO BODY takes things to a higher and heavier level. Grab them both below, and decide which is your fav!
What’s up GDD readers? This last weekend I (Tre) put together a mix for all of you that features a plethora of different artists and styles. Get ready to get dark and groovy with this one folks, hope ya dig!
*Also, be on the lookout for Charles I and my upcoming EP.
ATTENTION blogaholics: one of our favorite up-and-coming DJ duos NO BODY have just hit a home run. Making the first jump into the remix pool, they’ve tackled TJR‘s Beatport chart-topping tune ‘Funky Vodka’ and sent it through the grinding gears of heavy hitting electro. Already a dance floor anthem for 2012, the NO BODY boys have just cleared this track for big room liftoff. We’re lucky enough to be giving you dirty dancers the exclusive download and we hope it turns your summer funky into festival fire. I SAID YA’LL HAVIN A GOOD TIME OUT THERE? Our good buddies NO BODY just put out this FREE bootleg remix of Porter’s new single ‘Language.’ A great spin on the original by keeping the signature progressive breakdown, while then sending it straight to the main stage with a big room electro/techno flare. In the spirit of this festival weekend, don’t sleep on this giveaway folks.
Our good buds Ruben and Kevin of No Body just sent over a two-pack of remixes for the Electro anthem from Wolfgang Gartner, ‘There And Back,’ released on Ultra at the end of January. We’ve been saying it for a while, but we fully support these young lads and continue to be impressed with each new original and remix they send our way. Download the Instrumental Remix below and head over to their Soundcloud to pick up the Vocal Remix equipped with a familiar Empire Of The Sun sample. Continue Reading
