To wrap up the end of the year and welcome 2012 with a (serious) bang, CONTROL brings you its final event of 2011 with the seismic sounds of Dub Police don Caspa, along with our own LA bad-man Dillon Francis. Making his triumphant return to his residency will be Whiiite (aka DJ Mr. White). Support will be issued by the likes of Kedd Cook, Frenetic and OHAY. As pre-sales have already sold out, we will have a VERY limited guest list which will be honored on a first come – first served basis. Receiving RSVP confirmation does NOT guarantee you entry, so please arrive before doors open @ 9PM.

GDD ROOM TAKEOVER:
Our very own GDD room (The Jerry Louis Room) will be taken over by the tech/deep/minimal/fidget sounds of our good friends Gotsu, Go Funk Yourself, and Justin Campbell. Located to the right of the main stage and hidden the back right corner of the Avalon, it’s the room with the small bar, big bass and spiral staircase!

This time…. WAVES = RAVES. Wet Electric 2011 – The largest & loudest pool party  is coming back home to SoCal @ Wild Rivers waterpark. Think festival noise, waterslides, bikinis, 18+, fill in the blank. WOW.

Friday, September 30th, two stages, 25 world class DJ’s, full-service bars, plush cabanas, vip areas, waterslides, wave pools, lazy river and thousands of beautiful party people. This will be the ultimate closing party of the summer, and the final event that ever takes place at Wild Rivers, as this is their final season before they shutdown forever!

GDD™ presents 2 Years of CONTROL!

It’s hard to believe that CONTROL is already celebrating its second birthday this Friday at the Avalon in Hollywood. Over the past 100 or so weeks, the CONTROL family has brought talent ranging from Rusko to Wolfgang Gartner, Dada Life to Claude VonStroke, and this week we’re showing that our 3rd year will be as strong as ever with a packed lineup featuring Felguk, Bingo Players, a live performance by our homies PeaceTreaty, Mr. White, and more! Here’s to another stellar year at CONTROL!

For this event, we will have only 200 spots on our guestlist so please RSVP 21+ names (no pluses) to jonah@gottadancedirty.com to be on our discounted list for the night, and it will be first come first serve. GDD™ presents CONTROL w/ Kid Sister!


The absolutely stunning Kid Sister will be performing live tonight at CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood. This Windy City woman has been the voice to some great dance tracks in the past few years, including the big track by Mehdi and Riton in 2o10 titled ‘Do Do Do’ that was made into a monster remix by the legendary Laidback Luke. Supporting her will be SF’s Trevor Simpson, as well as local LA talent from Mr. White, Thee Mike B, and Steve Prior.

We will also be holding down the GDD™ House Party room tonight with our friends from Techno Color Kids as well as the lovely ladies of TrippensoXx, so come have a drink with us in the room directly to the right of the front of the stage.

Today is the start of a big week for LA-via-Boston duo Valerna, whose first release on Cold Blank’s Burn the Fire label featuring Control resident Mr. White is out today and remix of Pola-Riot available Thursday. My fellow disco aficionados shouldn’t sleep on “Think It Over” and no Valerna release is complete without a crunchy banger with a silly name like “I Wish I Had Dog Feet”.
