Easy Dirty Dancers, this week we’ve got an exclusive new tune from recent GDD interviewee D.O.D. The track’s a bootleg of Duck Sauce‘s new single ‘Big Bad Wolf’, which sees Dan O’Donnell taking the original apart, to bring in ravey Dominator synthlines and a moombahton backbeat. The tune’s a banger for sure, and with a drop-tempo 45 seconds in it’s perhaps the most DJ friendly moombahton track you’ll find…

Good Morning GDD world, I am proud to be able to give you yet another world exclusive. Today, I give you the  debut of Tittsworth and Alvin Risk‘s video for their new track “Pendejas”. The video was directed by Rand Rosenberg and was shot in Washington, DC and New York. The track is off their newest release “Two Strokes” just released the other week on Plant Music.
Make sure to show them support by buying the EP on iTunes or Beatport.

This Saturday (May 14th), 0ur Overthrow brethren are hosting their infamous Sloppy Seconds party in Atlanta – this time showcasing their family ties with Gotta Dance Dirty and inviting your very own BONES to bring my LA noise to the east coast alongside Tamara Sky and of course our GDD/Overthrow lovechild Troy Kurtz. If you are anywhere in a 200 mile radius I expect you not to miss this one – not just because the poster artwork is too cool for the pool, but because were gonna make ATL get bass-face banana tits. Yeah, you heard right.

Get your swag started with TKO’s moombahton remix of GDD fav Peacetreaty‘s ‘Change’ and of course their original summer heater ‘Cabo Fuego’ below:

This week we bring you another special edition of our weekly piece, “The Dirt” by the up and coming Canadian production duo, Botnek. You may remember them from a post GDD™ resident  ///Bones put up a few weeks ago featuring their tracks “Dozer” and “Pop Music.” We are not the only ones to recently take notice of this fast-rising DJ duo, as their unreleased track “Owls” was featured by famed Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac on her mix show this past week, and Radio 1 DJ Kissy Sellout has championed their sound so much that he asked them to do an official remix of his newest track “Homesick.” If you like what you hear and want even more Botnek, make sure to pick up their first EP “Plonk” which was officially released just TODAY over on Beatport.

You can check out all their newest tracks + exclusive Debut/Download of a killer new track of theirs after the jump! Enjoy!

GDD™ homeboy Dillon Francis has been on an absolute tear since the start of 2011 and has shown no signs of slowing down at all. It all started with the release of his Westside EP on Mad Decent Records and he’s only continuing to grow. This past week his status as one of Electronic Music’s brightest rising stars grew even brighter; his remix of Toddla T’s track ‘Take it Back’ was proclaimed “the hottest track in the world” by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe during his weekly broadcast. In celebration of this massive event, Dillon has decided to release the remix for free via his Soundcloud. Make sure you check it out; he truly is making some next level tunes.

Over the next few days, we’ll be posting all the vital information to the events that we’ll be throwing in Miami next week for Miami Music Week. Once again, we’ve teamed up with OVERTHROW for the official unofficial closing party of Ultra 2011. And yes, it’s at a full nude stripclub called Gold Rush. And yes, Miami badman and multiple DMC champ Craze, along with ATL trenchstep dude Heroes x Villains, along with a bunch of other DJs including GDD’s own BONES and myself will be playing everything from Juvenile to Joker. Pre-sale tix are $10 and you must be 21 to see the tata’s. Infamous photographer Bronques of lastnightsparty.com will be capturing the debauchery, so if you drink too much and forget what the stripper who gave you a lap-dance looked like, we’ll have documentation.

I’ll leave you with a good idea of what will be happening as featured in Caligula‘s music video for their track ‘Light in the Dark’ off their EP titled ‘The Rise

Oh, and there’s probably gonna be some Moombahton in there too.

This week, we at GDD™ are pleased to bring you a special Dirt takeover by our friend and Father of Moombahton, DAVE NADA! For those who do not know anything about Moombahton, it all started in 2009 when Dave played at his little cousin’s school ditch party back in Maryland where he slowed down the popular Afrojack remix to 108 beats per minute to appease the crowd. Since then, he’s been making reggaeton-tempo edits of Dutch house and tropical house, and clubs have been going crazy for the stuff. Now, Moombahton has picked up even more speed and has been embraced by some of the largest producers in the world. Dirty dancers, I give you Dave Nada’s : Many Moves of Moombahton! GDD™ style.

“Some like it hard, some like it soft, but everyone likes it hot. Here are some of my favorite moombahton tracks that represent the many vibes of the genre. The diversity of moombahton proves that there’s something for everyone…” – Dave Nada

Dave was kind enough to give us a complete overview of the Moombahton genre, all the way from the hardest style to the soul style. Check them all out and enjoy! They all are downloadable for free! Heres the .zip file

KMOC + Dave Nada

Tamie Adaya and her latest venture, Crown Jewels, are throwing a cozy (read: crazy) little warehouse party at The Well tonight and tomorrow morning.  You may recall this venue if you attended the HARD afterparty on Halloween that Boys Noize ended up taking the reigns of.  Doorly, Toddla T, Them Jeans + Dan O of Dim Mak, Dillon Francis and Nadastrom’s Dave Nada tag teaming a moombahton set and our very own Matt Black closing things out.  Can’t mention the special guest (hint: UK MC, he’s a big deal) but I’m sure you’ll be able to figure more out after poking around the facebook page.  Be sure to RSVP.

All my best,

In the scheme of moombahton things, our LA local boy and GDD crew member Dillon Francis has crossed his bass driven attack into the lower bpm grooves. His newest dominator called “Masta Blasta” is sure to exploit his hybrid takeover. The track is being released in two versions, a moombahton groove train and an uptempo dutch barrage. Also, his breakout track “Westside” has been hypnotized into a moombahton edit that’s sure to be praised by the likes of the Mad Decent fans. In fact, Diplo himself has already given Dillon praise for the new track and is playing it out in recent sets. Word has it that Dillon will be working on Mad Decent releases very soon! Uh Ohhhhhh. Scope out the two bounce heavy moombahs below (the Westside edit is downloadable!)

Last week, I had the pleasure of spending a few days with Grant Dull, label manager and co-founder of ZZK records in Argentina. Grant also doubles as a DJ El G, which is what brought him to Miami. I caught one of his sets at an outdoor festival and I immediately knew he was onto something when I saw a 60 (70?) year old abuela dancing next to a family dancing next to some hipsters dancing next to some security guards. The sophisticated blogger bro would be quick to generalize and say his sound is that of moonbahton, but I heard everything from tropical Afro-Cuban influences to jazz, cumbia, hip-hop, and a large portion of electronic, not just a few Dave Nada mp3s he found on hypemachine. Once I got to digging, I realized he’s sitting on a gold-mine with a whole host of ZZK artists that filled his set, most noticeably was Frikstailers. They just released an EP titled ‘Bicho de Luz’, and are giving away ‘Dancehallete’ for free. They are also embarking on a US tour right now, and will be playing in LA Sept. 28 at The Echo. The other track I’m posting is a remix by Douster. Originally from France, he spent a few years in Argentina and obviously fell in with the ZZK dudes. He hit it big once Aoki got behind his ‘King of Africa’ track, and I’m sure I probably broke a few of your hearts because you thought it was a Lion King – Steve Aoki Remix o_O.
