In a 24-hour period over the weekend, Seven Lions headlined the Avalon Hollywood, played EDC New York, and flew down to Orlando for his third show in a row. Following his run of phenomenal performances, he released his jaw-dropping Minnesota collaboration, “Fevers,” with the Mimi Page on vocal duty. The newest addition to Seven Lions‘ outstanding music catalog serves as a testament to his authenticity as a visionary artist striving for originality. There are certain artists who create music that truly embodies the art form, and Minnesota is undeniably one of them. In his latest effort that was released today, the Astral Projection EP, he continues to impress with his unique sound consisting of strong beats, precise sub-bass, and blissfully soaring melodies. It’s incredible to hear Minnesota‘s display of his maturation as an artist, and what he is now capable of after years of dedication and experience. In just nine days from now, thousands will embark on a journey to a place unlike any other, The Do LaB‘s Lightning in a Bottle. The excellent music, beautiful art, spiritually cleansing yoga, and educational speakers are all to be enjoyed to the fullest at one of my favorite festivals that takes place at the beautiful Oak Canyon Ranch. After attending last year’s LIB, it’s difficult to put to words what my incredible experience was like, but I can assure you that you will be more than happy to have been a part of something much different than your typical music festival. With a well-rounded, eclectic lineup including the legendary Bassnectar, and dozens of other big names/underground acts, I can already tell it’s going to be too much fun going from set to set. Grab your tickets with the link below, check out a video/pictures from last year, and the LIB 2012 mixtape contest winner after the jump!

In the midst of all the “bro-step,” Minnesota follows a different philosophy in his music production. Aside from the common goal of electronic music producers wishing to create music that will get people dancing, Christian Bauhofer tries to “focus more on the melodic side of dubstep, and hopefully, make quality songwriting a more relevant factor in the genre.” (Facebook) It’s great to see producers holding on to ideals of music in a swiftly evolving genre that some say has lost touch with it’s roots. With that said, this brand new remix is definitely one of my favorite dubstep tunes as of late, so check it out and enjoy the good vibes. Don’t miss the bonus below!
