Trevor McFedries, aka DJ Skeet Skeet, moved from Iowa to Los Angeles and quickly built up a reputation by playing alongside then up and comers Royal Rumble, LA Riots, and Young Americans (now Classixx). He’s continuously put out high profile remixes of high profile tracks, earning him spots at both Lollapalooza and Coachella recently, while producing for bands all along the way. His most recent remix of ‘That Your Girl’ is below, which is bright, cool fire at about 1:15 in, one of my favorite tracks of the moment. Snag that download below along with a couple from the band he’s currently producing, DWNTWN.
Fred Falke channels his inner Giorgio Moroder on this clubbed-up disco remix of Uffie’s“Illusion of Love”. The original track was produced by Mirwais & features guest vocals by ex-Rapture frontman Mattie Safer. That’s a pretty nice collaboration, I’d say, although I do tend to have a love/hate relationship with Uffie (I’d still uff her though). However, with Fred Falke, it’s nothing but love/love. He’ll be making a rare Stateside appearance at this year’s Pacific Festival this Summer in Orange County…can’t Falke-in’ wait.
