A few weeks ago we had a massive twitter interview with MadTech Records and their latest slew of artists: Lakosa, iO, and Pedro123. The man behind the scenes at MadTech, James, was an absolute pleasure to speak with and has continued to deliver some lovely tracks in our inboxes. So, when he shot us over the announcement of MadTech’s sublabel, MTDL, which will be pushing free music downloads, I quickly jumped on it. Awesome music… for free? Consistently? Sounds like a win. More from MadTech here to set your weekend off on a hot one.  They’re consistently grabbing new talent in the universe of UK Bass, Funky and the experimental.  This one is Ill Blu, a production duo of Def1 and Jreel.  Rumbling bass, sliced up by synth strikes and an ever-present, pounding 4/4 beat.  Have a listen, and grab the free download at the bottom.

Our second round of #AskGDD went down early in the afternoon yesterday, and after Steven and Laura had a nice long chat with James from Mad Tech Records, as well as Lakosa, iO, and Pedro123  (Stef, Rob, and Pedro, respectively), we decided not only to transcribe it for everyone who missed it to enjoy, but to continue along and start up a weekly Twitter chit chat with a selection of yours and our favorite artists, record labels, and more. Stay tuned via our twitter and of course with the #AskGDD hashtag every Thursday, where you can follow along or even ask questions yourself!

Our conversation with the group, as well as plenty of jams from them all for you to enjoy (as well as the dope new tunes they talked with us about) all after the jump.

Citizen is the first to be released on Kerri Chandler‘s latest, MadTech records and, once again, the deep house originator delivers with Citizen and this release.  ”In 1992 Kerri Chandler had a vision. A vision of deep, heartfelt, meaningful music.”  This vision helped forge the soulful standards of Madhouse records, establishing some of deep house’s very foundations, which continue today in Kerri’s new label MadTech.  As I introduced Citizen in The Dirt #73, his sound is decidedly “House Over Everything” and today we’ve got a sublime exclusive mix from him, as well as his entire EP and details on our Twitter interview with the label this Friday.  Go Deep.
