Few cool releases from a wide range of talented producers from all over the world out this week and what better way to be my eclectic bad self than slap them all into one post. Whether you’re an old-school fiend, an R&B aficionado, or on top of the new & trendy sounds of LA, there’s something below worth checking out. Either way, keep that booty shaking and those feet tapping. All EPs with streams and buy links (along with a bonus download) after the jump…

The new single from Usher has immersed itself completely in the dance music community in the past few weeks, with a staggering 9 acclaimed producers remixing the original for RCA. Today, 3 producers from Europe that you wouldn’t really expect to hop on board an Usher track have done just that; with Marble‘s Surkin, Made to Play‘s Oliver $, and the French supergroup, Club Cheval, all trying their hand at the commercial release. Stream all 3 of them and find out which one is my favorite below. Continue Reading
It was a delight this morning to open my inbox to find news about Zombie Disco Squad‘s debut album, Brains, due out on Jesse Rose‘s Made To Play imprint on the 28th of May. The first single from the full length features the soulful vocals of 80s legend, Omar, and stays true to the Housey sound that ZDS has always produced. As an added bonus to the album release, label boss Jesse Rose will be procuring an edit to each and every single off of the album. What a guy right? Get the preview for the single, ‘Righteous Sound,’ below, and buy it on Beatport when it’s released on Monday, March 19th. Continue Reading

FEEL GOOD HOUSE
• Noob – Spell (Original Mix) √+ [Beatport] *192 Kbps
This is an uplifting little number from the producer from Bordeaux known as Noob. Released in early October on the Sound Pellegrino label, the Spell EP has already gained some big time attention, including a spot on Digitalism’s I Love Techno Chart on Beatport.
• Nicolas Jaar – Don’t Break My Love (Original Mix) √+
Just released this week on his own Clown & Sunset label, Nicolas Jaar‘s Don’t Break My Love EP is a pure auditory delight. Always unique sound from the 21 year old phenom.
• Torb – Rubidrama (Original Mix) √+ [Beatport] *192 Kbps
French producer, Torb, put out Mars Premier as the latest release on Cassius Records, and all 3 tracks on the EP are fuego. Supported by Boys Noize, supported by GDD™.
PARTY IN THE MOONLIGHT HOUSE
• Fonzerelli – Moonlight Party (Tom Glass Remix) √+
I love this song. Brings back memories from a long time ago when we used to blast the original of this song in the dorms (FT) at UCSB. Great new take on it here from Tom Glass.
DOESN’T GET MUCH GROOVIER THAN THIS HOUSE
• Zombie Disco Squad – Piano Man (Original Mix) √++ [Beatport] *192 Kbps
Out on the Made To Play imprint last week, Zombie Disco Squad‘s ‘Piano Man’ is my new favorite single by the guys. Equipped with 4 different mixes of the original, this release is a must have. Buy the whole thang on Beatport now!
FuzZ never has produced anything I didn’t love and Deep is no exception. Deep lures you in with a complex and long intro, only to drop you into a mellow, groovy and psychedelic wonderland that is similar to the best Flying Lotus beats. This track is not one to miss folks, click the link and grab the MP3 now!
FEEL GOOD TECH-HOUSE
YO Bill has been kind enough to give away this track exclusively on this weeks dirt! Teddy Jammin is as technical as it is catchy, which can only be a good thing. The track’s groovy vocals have been mixed in with YO Bill’s recognizably intricate percussion to bring you a guaranteed dance floor hit!
JAW DROPPING TECH-HOUSE
Many of the die-hard Tech fans have been watching Colour with amazement, it seems the English producer really can do no wrong. Don’t believe me? Grab Frequencies Modulate, take a listen and you can send me your apology later. The track takes you on a dark journey that resonates retro-house chords, complex percussion and intricate synthesis. Seriously, grab this jam!
The up and coming Los Angeles natives, THIEVES always impress me and Pousser is no exception. It’s an original groove that speaks to the duo’s rock roots.
LATE NIGHT LATIN GROOVES
Speaking of up and comers, can you believe this kid is only 15!? Keep an eye on Desantarosa, I predict big things!

This December, you’ll be gearing up for the holidays, going on ski trips, and most importantly, reading year-end reviews from blogs and other online publications. My prediction is that atop all of the ‘Tastemakers’ lists for best songs of 2011, Oliver $‘s ‘Doin’ Ya Thang’ will hold its place just as it did on Beatport for multiple months. If the Berlin-based producer was not well-known from his multiple releases on Made To Play, Play It Down, and Wearhouse, he certainly picked up a lot of attention from his vocal sample masterpiece released last April. Now, the groovemeister is touring 4 continents for the rest of the year, working on a debut album out on Made To Play early next year, and helping out Justin Martin in the studio for his album due out on dirtybird. He’s a busy guy, and most recently, he’s made a fantastic mix for DJ Mag that includes some top tier producers and he’s given us the preview to his newest release, ‘Granulated Soul.’

A couple months back, I made a post on a mixtape that I had stumbled upon by a Dutch duo named Homework. I dubbed it one of the best mixtapes I had heard in a long time, and that statement still holds true today. I back these guys 100%, and I am extremely excited to see what else they have in store in the future. Jesse Rose feels the same way, as he has given the go ahead for Homework’s newest EP, Rally Racquet Club, to be released on the lauded Made To Play label on June 20th. So make sure to head on over to Beatport next Monday to pick up the whole package, including a top notch remix from current Beatport chart topper, Oliver $.
I can’t believe the weekend is here again already! As always, CONTROL is set with a stacked double-headliner night tomorrow with Kill The Noise and Jesse Rose each throwing down an hour and a half set. After seeing the live interview that the Avalon did with Kill The Noise on Twitter yesterday, I’m pretty excited to hear some brand new heat from the Los Angeles producer. And of course, it’s always a pleasure to hear some Made To Play jams from the legendary Jesse Rose.

Alright, so I feel a bit bad about not posting this one for a bit, but better late than never right? This mixtape made for the Trailer Trash & Dollop Warehouse Party that occurred a couple weeks back in London is one of the best mixes I’ve heard in a long time. Dutch duo, Homework, brings together a delectable selection of prime tracks from Lee Foss, Round Table Knights, Deniz Kurtel, and much, much more. Now represented by Mr. Jesse Rose and the lauded Made To Play label, these guys are sure to make some noise in America soon. Check out their myspace for events in Amsterdam, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland this April.

One day until Thanksgiving and I am thoroughly excited to grub on the giant 22 pound, free range turkey that my mom purchased from some awesome grocery store in Memphis. Anyway, I hope that all you dirty dancers have an amazing Thanksgiving tomorrow and travel safe to wherever you may. After you awaken out of your Tryptophan food comas on Friday afternoon, make sure you come on by the Avalon to dance off your excessive caloric intake as Made To Play frontman, Jesse Rose, will be on the 1′s + 2′s along with Boys Noize Records‘ D.I.M., who pretty much epitomizes the quintessential dirty dancer’s set with a vast amassment of banging techno and reverberating electro. ///BONES will also be holding down the closing set so make sure you hang around to catch his epic latenight choons.
