It seems that Wax Motif is on to something massive. His first single “Krush Groove” on his forthcoming TRUE JOY EP for Mad Decent hit the interwebz hard and is being supported by pretty much everybody – then today just dropped a VIP dub + instrumental of his next single “Your Eyes ft. Totem” ahead of it’s vocal driven release. The vibe on this one is way more hip hop spirited yet anthemic in strength, ringing true to the Mad Decent mantra. Grab the freebies below, and be on the lookout for the rest of the TRUE JOY EP dropping August 14th!

Australian producer Danny Chien aka Wax Motif boasts a unique production style and fresh mixing skills that have kept this rising artist in high demand. His Mad Decent debut comes to us in the form of the much anticipated “Krush Groove,” the first single off of his brand new True Joy EP, dropping in August. The track breaks down into a war-cry of chords before building back up into an explosive synth lead and hard hitting low end, making for a colossal bass driven future house anthem. The forthcoming ‘True Joy EP’ also highlights Wax Motif’s perfected g-house sound (a movement he’s on the forefront of). Expect to hear Krush Groove roaring across the festival circuit this year, and look out for the rest of the True Joy EP in the coming weeks!

Just over a week ago LA-massive Mad Decent dropped a five-flush remix pack of Elliphant‘s “Only Getting Younger feat. Skrillex” on their Soundcloud and like some of the best things in life that shit is free.99! Predictably all of the tracks are heavy hitters, ranging from big-room horn-heavy bounce vibes from TJR and Brazzabelle to the moombahton-tempo squaks of the Milo & Otis remix, to the sped-up DnB halftime version from DJ Vice & Justyle, to my personal favorite sort of experimental melodic trap/beats version from NGTMRE and Imanos. Regardless of what your style or taste is, this is a classic encompassing Mad Decent Party Pack that not only showcases a festival-ready range of styles but also a great look at some of LA’s biggest and baddest upcoming talents.
You can preview the whole pack below and download them over on the Mad Decent Soundcloud.

Coming off the Ignant EP on Mad Decent and official remixes for Felix Cartal and Major Lazer, Swedish young gun The Reef has offered up a huge free heater in his version of Pusha T’s “Numbers On The Board.” Supported already by the likes of Diplo, Crookers and Astronomar, The Reef pushes the boundaries of genre labels creating a massive new sound for the club and even festival circuit. This one goes from hip hop to a hurricane and the download even includes a version with a 88-128bpm transition with Pusha T’s first verse. DJs and fans alike will be all over this…

Think Kavinsky meets Futurecop! meets your favorite 80s TV show theme song and you might be pretty close to Swedish producer Johan Bengtsson’s retro project, Mitch Murder. Title track, “The Touch,” is genuinely lighthearted and fun, crossing over from 80s synth work into a bit of French Touch influence; also including a big time guitar solo straight out of your dad’s record collection. B-side “Race Day” could very easily be the soundtrack to a video montage of all of your favorite beach scenes from every 80s movie you’ve ever watched, or as the PR put it, “quite possibly a contender to be the title screen music to a Wave Race 64 sequel.” Sounds awesome to me. Also included in this package out today on Mad Decent‘s Jeffree’s sub-label are two remixes of the A-side from Lifelike and Nite Sprite. Download below.

Our friends at iHeartComix, Mad Decent, and Fool’s Gold have joined forces for what seems to be THE party to attend this year at SxSW in Austin. Boasting by far the largest dance music lineup of the week, #SUPERPARTY will take place at the former Beauty Ballroom on Thursday the 14th and will be open to fans of all ages from noon until 2AM. We’ll, of course, be making this a stop on our upcoming #GDDRV tour, and after seeing this lineup, we couldn’t be more thrilled to attend our very first SxSW event.
