For today’s musician, building out an official website is a necessary evil, one which can quickly become frustrating and expensive. ToneDen looks to solve these problems by offering an elegant approach for the modern musician to showcase themselves online. With a few clicks, each artist can now configure their own beautifully designed site. Integrating their SoundCloud, Facebook, and Twitter accounts in one place, ToneDen also features a press kit generator for one sheets, and robust analytics. Essentially, everything the modern musician could need.

Coming off the Ignant EP on Mad Decent and official remixes for Felix Cartal and Major Lazer, Swedish young gun The Reef has offered up a huge free heater in his version of Pusha T’s “Numbers On The Board.” Supported already by the likes of Diplo, Crookers and Astronomar, The Reef pushes the boundaries of genre labels creating a massive new sound for the club and even festival circuit. This one goes from hip hop to a hurricane and the download even includes a version with a 88-128bpm transition with Pusha T’s first verse. DJs and fans alike will be all over this…
Think Kavinsky meets Futurecop! meets your favorite 80s TV show theme song and you might be pretty close to Swedish producer Johan Bengtsson’s retro project, Mitch Murder. Title track, “The Touch,” is genuinely lighthearted and fun, crossing over from 80s synth work into a bit of French Touch influence; also including a big time guitar solo straight out of your dad’s record collection. B-side “Race Day” could very easily be the soundtrack to a video montage of all of your favorite beach scenes from every 80s movie you’ve ever watched, or as the PR put it, “quite possibly a contender to be the title screen music to a Wave Race 64 sequel.” Sounds awesome to me. Also included in this package out today on Mad Decent‘s Jeffree’s sub-label are two remixes of the A-side from Lifelike and Nite Sprite. Download below.

Our friends at iHeartComix, Mad Decent, and Fool’s Gold have joined forces for what seems to be THE party to attend this year at SxSW in Austin. Boasting by far the largest dance music lineup of the week, #SUPERPARTY will take place at the former Beauty Ballroom on Thursday the 14th and will be open to fans of all ages from noon until 2AM. We’ll, of course, be making this a stop on our upcoming #GDDRV tour, and after seeing this lineup, we couldn’t be more thrilled to attend our very first SxSW event.

“Grammy nominated french producer DJ Snake brings Mad Decent/Jeffree’s two huge tracks that are so big it is officially their first Double A-Side release. The first track “Bird Machine” featuring Alesia packs huge 808′s and an ever evolving bird whistle as the lead synth. Snake & Alesia have created an anthem that has been play’d out by superstar DJs Dillon Francis, Diplo, Baauer, Flosstradamus and many more! Snake follows up “Bird Machine” with “Together” an epic hardstyle homage with the wildest trap drop we’ve heard in a while.” Grab them both below!
The wild personality of “acid punk rapper” Mykki Blanco is getting a run of the trap. Our LA familiar Neo Fresco (Mad Decent/Get Shifty) has caught a hook in MB’s raw vocals on Hazeboogie and created a hypnotizing bootleg with stabs and rolls all the way to the hood. FUN FACT: The original was produced by Sinden for MB’s Cosmic Angel Mixtape!
ATL’s Heroes x Villains know Trap music. Not the kind of Trap your younger brother is making in his bedroom. It’s the kind of shit that Atlanta has born and bred for years. Put best by the Dirty South duo, “We’re only interested in making music you can fight or strip to.” Not a bad mantra whatsoever, and it seems to be doing them well as they’ve been commissioned by Major Lazer for an official remix of ‘Jah No Partial,’ due out on Diplo‘s Mad Decent next month. Big time roots n bass with this one.
After an amicable split in late 2012, Bot (ex Crookers) took to the studio to start a new chapter in his musical career; aiming his production sights at a new futuristic Techno sound. 11 brand new originals came of this self-inflicted studio lockdown, including a handful of new collaborations with Astronomar, TAI, David Heartbreak, and more. He’s put together a 24-minute teaser to give us all a taste of the new side of Bot, and it’s brilliant. Bot’s first release will be out this March on Mad Decent.
