You’ve probably heard MK’s top top top vocal cut of Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through” all damn summer long as I have, but I was given a nice little treat today when I found that a producer of high personal intrigue, Lil Silva, has also thrown his hat in the remix ring of the 2010 tune. According to his Soundcloud, it would appear that this remix will appear on the November 3rd release on MoS/Defected along with the Vocal Edit from MK which should make a pretty strong package. Have a listen to Lil Silva’s groove below. √+

With its unique sound plus sweet yet heartbreaking vocals, “Your Drums, Your Love” by AlunaGeorge is one of the finest songs of 2012.  The UK duo has been hard at work on their new album, set for release sometime in 2013.  In the meantime, AlunaGeorge gives us “Your Drums, Your Love”, complete with a remix package that includes reworks by Duke Dumont (YES), The Prototypes, Deebs and Lil Silva.  Check out the crispy, charged up Lil Silva remix below and keep an eye out for the remix package coming out October 15th via Island Records.

Figuratively and literally, reading about Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs‘ re-release of his amazing single, “Household Goods,” this morning was music to my ears. A top track released on Greco-Roman in 2010, “Household Goods” (along with “Garden”) really put Orlando on the map, and 2 years later with a full LP under his belt, he’s put together an unbelievable new remix package for the original including new takes from Zinc, Mano Le Tough, Zed’s Dead, Lil Silva, and Enei. The release will be available on Beatport next week on August 6th before its worldwide release on Polydor on the 20th. Stream 4 of the remixes below. √+ Continue Reading
