Parisian French Touch extraordinaire, Lifelike, has bequeathed an absolutely epic hour long mix full of French Touch classic jams for us this morning. It’s a gift that’s so good you would never even know to ask for it. You can tell that Lifelike really put some thought into this one and made sure to include the people responsible for the French Touch takeoff — including a handful of tracks from Bangalter‘s famous Roulé imprint as well as groovers from Fafa Monteco, Alan Braxe, and Paul Johnson.
For those of you that were lucky enough to catch Fred Falke‘s set at Pacific Festival in Orange County this year, you’d probably say that he was an easy top 3 performance of the entire day. Unfortunately, I was at the merch booth slanging out tank tops and t-shirts, so I only got to catch about 10 minutes of his auditory delight, but that longing will be fulfilled this Friday as the Berlin-born, France-based producer comes to the Avalon alongside fellow French Touch master, Lifelike, and a live performance from Anoraak. Leave your fist-pumping homies at home for this one.

French DiscoWave producer, LIFELIKE, adds to his remarkable list of remixes with two brand new remixes of Chromeo & Australian brother/sister duo Voltaire Twins. LIFELIKE takes takes both of the original synth pop jams and adds his signature French touch, walking that smooth + sexy line between nu-disco & new wave.
Truth be told, I’m pretty overdue for a post, but just when I was about to serve up a couple of new remixes from France’s Lifelike, I took notice of a Swedish producer by the name of Le Prix that he was following on SoundCloud. Safe to say that if you’re a Lifelike fan, you’re going to love Le Prix. Listen to his latest remix and his new EP after ze jump. Continue Reading
