The belgian dynamic duo Mumbai Science are back on the scene with another forthcoming 1975 EP on Lektroluv, this time creating a hilarious karaoke like video for the B-side single “Models.” Smiley face censored human beings dance atop uptempo light-hearted techno while an auto-type esque woman’s voice chants out the names of super models from around the world. A really funny video thats probably great for background visuals during sets, check it out above and look out for the release coming June 24th!
Hailing from Rome, the Italiano Jac Battle aka Mooro, has served as Death Crew 77’s tour drummer and now chosen by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo to play keyboards on the new The Bloody Beetroots live show…
His new solo project has finally made its debut on Lektroluv Records – the EP including three electro monsters that fans of The Subs, The Bloody Beetroots or Gtronic will most definitely love. The fourth track, ‘For Those About To Funk’, closes the EP in true slo’mo style and sounds like something Daft Punk would make after being locked in the studio with nothing but Red Bull and a Slayer record. WOWZERS.
I remember when Blatta & Inesha came on to the scene back in 2009. They were dubbed by many at the time as the “next Crookers,” due to their banging Electro style and the fact that they are a duo from Italy. Since then, they’ve had releases on some of the heaviest hitting Electro labels in the game including Dim Mak, Lektroluv, Crux, and Lee Mortimer’s Wearhouse label. Well, Los Angeles, we are bringing the guys to you this week for a massive VS. event on the West Side along with support from DJ Shae B, Ben Oprstu, La Muerte, and Mr. Metronomo.
The event is FREE before 11PM, but you must RSVP at DANCEiSM.com.
LOCATION: The Central: Social Aide & Pleasure Club
1348 14th Street Santa Monica, CA 90404 ► Thursday, July 14th ► 9:30pm-2:00am ► 21+ ► $5 Red Bull Vodkas
Check out two of these massive new Techno tracks from Blatta & Inesha to get you going…
Could Mumbai Science be coming on any stronger right now? Ladies who spend most of their nights out constantly fending off overly aggressive, creepy dudes … I now feel your pain. First the Belgian duo commandeered Halloween’s biggest sound system, as seemingly every DJ at HARD Haunted Mansion in LA dropped ‘Ancova,’ and now their new release ‘Gold’ off Lektroluv apparently stole the biggest global event of last weekend too, I Love Techno 2010. Find out why everyone (Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Crookers, Sound of Stereo, Djedjotronic and Fake Blood, to name a few) have been banging their tracks out recently.
