All Day I Dream, Lee Burridge‘s world-renowned label and event brand, will be touching down in Los Angeles on New Year’s Day to kick off 2017 with yet another vibe-driven revelrous affair, which has become tradition after four years of the holiday event in the west coast music haven. With a new outdoor venue, Chinatown’s Gin Ling Way, and a signature lineup, featuring Russian favorites, Gorje Hewek&Izhevski, New York’s Hoj, and the masterful artist and impresario himself, Lee Burridge, the event is set to be an intentional and inspiring experience that is a must for dance music lovers looking to rejuvenate their mind, body, and soul for the next 365 days. It seems that many of us are on the same page as pre-sales have already sold-out, but there will be a limited amount of tickets sold at the door.
It’s safe to say that festival season is in full swing, and it’s only going to continue ramping up from here. Over the weekend of June 10th, Mysteryland USA will be taking over Bethel Woods, NY for its third edition, and with the full lineup by day/stage announcement earlier this week, there is a lot to look forward to. Known for its eclectic musical programming and other sought-after attractions, like the healing garden, comedy tent, yoga, speakers, and more, the U.S. branch of the Netherlands-based festival holds its own in a competitive landscape, and it’s growing into an influential powerhouse with global appeal.

Festival season is upon us, and the massive lineups keep rolling out as the excitement continues to brew. After announcing phase 1 earlier this year, New York’s Mysteryland USA is adding to the already stacked bill with an eclectic array of talent, ranging from dance music to hip-hop, and several genres in between. The festival’s historic Woodstock venue, Bethel Woods, NY, will be welcoming headliners like Skrillex, ODESZA, and Bassnectar, while also featuring heavy hitters like Gesaffelstein, Young Thug, GRiZ, Keys N Krates, Gladkill, Rezz, and Tchami, amongst others. Although Mysteryland USA stepped outside of its typically underground-centric programming, it still locked in luminaries like Kerri Chandler, Art Department, J.Phlip, Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Moodymann, and more. With all of these acts and other attractions like delicious food, yoga, speakers, Mysteryland USA is about to be a memorable weekend beginning on June 10th.
With new festivals spawning in all corners of the United States and abroad, it’s easy for an event to fly under the radar, but San Diego’s CRSSD Festival harnessed our attention with its outstanding music programming, gorgeous venue, and more. After an anxious few months, the long-awaited festival finally descended upon the bay front park, and thousands upon thousands attended to experience a summery soirée helmed by some of the world’s finest producer/DJs and musicians like Maceo Plex, Chromeo, Hot Natured, Robert Delong, GDD™ homies Thomas Jack, Viceroy, Bixel Boys, and SNBRN, amongst others. By now, you’ve probably heard that CRSSD Festival was a great success, but in our minds, it was the perfect way to kick off festival season.
One of LA’s finest producer/DJs and GDD™ Guest Mix alum, Lonely Boy, is coming through with his truly outstanding Don’t You Think EP, and sure enough, Desert Hearts Records has it locked for a release on Tuesday, January 27th. The EP features two masterful tunes, “Don’t You Think” and “Rise.” The first is a Lee Burridge-inspired cut that sets a smooth, rolling tech-house vibe before breaking through with a pumping groove, while the latter features a monstrous evolving bassline, orchestra hits, peak-time energy, and a hint of classic Bob Marley. Enjoy below and head after the jump for the story behind “Don’t You Think” from Lonely Boy himself.

In just nine days from now, thousands will embark on a journey to a place unlike any other, The Do LaB‘s Lightning in a Bottle. The excellent music, beautiful art, spiritually cleansing yoga, and educational speakers are all to be enjoyed to the fullest at one of my favorite festivals that takes place at the beautiful Oak Canyon Ranch. After attending last year’s LIB, it’s difficult to put to words what my incredible experience was like, but I can assure you that you will be more than happy to have been a part of something much different than your typical music festival. With a well-rounded, eclectic lineup including the legendary Bassnectar, and dozens of other big names/underground acts, I can already tell it’s going to be too much fun going from set to set. Grab your tickets with the link below, check out a video/pictures from last year, and the LIB 2012 mixtape contest winner after the jump!
