May 14th is nearly here — the day that Classixx‘s long-awaited debut album will see release on Los Angeles-based imprint,Innovative Leisure. After receiving substantial acclaim for the first album single, ‘Holding On,’ Tyler and Mikey are back with the second single from the album, calling upon Nancy Whang (formerly of LCD Soundsystem) for a Pop-Funk original laden with dreamy vocals. ‘All You’re Waiting For’ along with the rest of the album will be available 3 weeks from today.
It’s been nearly 4 years coming, but Classixx will finally be releasing their debut album this May on Los Angeles imprint, Innovative Leisure. The long player will feature 12 pop-infused originals from the West Coast duo, including their top hit “I’ll Get You ft. Jeppe” that was released back in 2009. The long-awaited release will feature additional collaborations with Active Child, Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids, and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem. It’s about time that NYC-based Holy Ghost! got to headline their own tour. After opening up for the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Cut Copy, and Chromeo as well as releasing their incredible debut album on DFA Records this year, the dynamic duo is well-deserving of the 20-date tour that they’ll be embarking on this October and November. In addition to the upcoming North American jaunt where they’ll be accompanied by Jessica 6, Midnight Magic, and Eli Escobar, Holy Ghost! has teamed up with Austrian producer Wolfram to put together the latest single, ‘Hold My Breath,’ which will be released as an EP on October 17th complete with remixes from Tiger & Woods, Cosmic Kids, and Falty DL.
