We’ve teamed up with our friends at Rolling Tuff and Solé Bicycles for an all-day event tomorrow from 1PM-2AM on Lincoln Blvd. in Venice, CA. The Venice Music Crawl features a number of venues on the west side, and we’ll be holding it down at RG Club with sets throughout the day from Lauren Lane, Steffi Graf, Human Life, and many more.
The event is free until 10PM, so come on by and join us. Find more information here.
Lauren Lane has been on quite the tear of late, supporting some of the finest DJs the darker side of dance music has to offer. A BPM Festival veteran, resident DJ at Framework at Sound Nightclub in Hollywood, and a former New York resident now residing in LA, it’s been nearly exactly one year since we first brought her to your attention via this post about her stellar release on Visionquest with dOP frontman Jaws.
Perhaps her biggest moment to date though, fortunately for all of us, was caught in a high-quality one-hour recording. The new “Yuma Tent” at this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival was all the rage because it had a) some semblance of air conditioning and b) house and techno’s finest were represented non-stop for three straight days. Lauren definitely held her own amongst the best the underground scene has to offer, and this downloadable mix is living testament to that.
With a slew of quality tracks currently slated for release on some more of the biggest labels in the game, I think it’s only a matter of time before her ascent of the underground is complete.
Visionquest, unanimously one of Gotta Dance Dirty‘s favorite labels in the Deep House and Techno game, dropped an absolute stunner yesterday from recent New York–LA transplant Lauren Lane. Featuring vocals by dOP madman Jaw, the track is a high energy Deep House anthem in the making. Catch a great video interview about Lauren and check out a preview of the track via YouTube after the jump, or just take my word for it go straight to Beatport and get the release now.
Keep your eyes on GDD™ for more news about Lauren, as I’m sure she’ll be making a lot of noise on the LA scene in the near future.
