Last year, I randomly discovered this emerging South East London duo, Howson’s Groove, and I was immediately taken in by their strikingly fresh, eclectic sound. After hearing their pair of EPs and remixes, I thought it was time for us to feature them in our guest mix series. Now Howson’s groove has delivered a captivating mix of Garage, House, and Post-Dubstep that sheds light on the increasingly sought-after UK sound. We’re looking forward to hearing more from this promising act. Enjoy!

So excited to get some proper hangs in with the dude, Cassian, next month in Miami! Ahead of the big time Sweat It Out event down there in March (which you’ll hear more about today), Cass has sent over a brilliant rework of the Cajmere classic, “Brighter Days,” cutting up the ever-familiar vocal and repositioning it above a sea of hi hats and on-point, rolling House drums. The rework comes as Cassian’s second musical offering this week as he also just unveiled his official remix for Kraak & Smaak‘s “Love Inflation” which you can check out below and pick up next week on Jalapeño Records. √+
We’ve been given the green light to premiere this vibey Kraak & Smaak instrumental remix of Moullinex‘s “To Be Clear,” the third single off of his debut album Flora. Alongside fellow remixers RAC and Zimmer, Kraak & Smaak bring a bit of late-night flavor to the daytime disco smash transforming it with smooth basslines, spacey synths, and percussive accents. Grab your free download below and purchase the “To Be Clear” remix pack on Beatport , iTunes, or on Discotexas for vinyl.
My good friend aRod and I have selected 10 tunes this week for your listening pleasure. We went pretty eclectic as per usual with any Dirt, so download them individually or download both zips for the whole enchilada. Happy Dirt day folks.

YEEEW! Dirt time & all I gotta say is I am very DTF with all of the songs so generously being put into the mix this week. Very much a theme again here, slowed UK vibes and really strongly percussion-based tracks in my picks, and a bit of everything from Jonah; ubiquitously groovy of course. Tons of free jams for everyone to enjoy, and we’re really stoked on all of the producers below & highly recommend checking more of their stuff out! Download all 11 tracks after the jump… Continue Reading
