On June 1st, Keys N Krates played an opening set for the legendary Bassnectar at one of America’s finest amphitheatres, Red Rocks in Colorado. The Tram 17 Productions team put together an awesome video for the special show, capturing all of the energy and madness that Keys N Krates are known to generate. It has been a huge summer for the trio, and it’s about to get much bigger with upcoming dates including Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Forcastle Festival, Shambhala Festival, Osheaga Festival, Evolve Festival, and the Brooklyn Bowl. Check out the video credits and see if they’re playing in a city near you after the jump.

The trap specialists, Keys N Krates, have come out with their first ever official remix. They continue to innovate by adding a little moombahton flavor into the mix of their diversifying catalog. I’ve been hearing that they’ve been absolutely killing it on tour, so I’d highly recommend trying to catch a show if they’re playing in a city near you. In the meantime, enjoy the remix after the jump.

Keys N Krates are back at it yet again and this time around they remixed a tune by their fellow Toronto brethren, Zeds Dead. It’s no surprise that the KNK signature hip-hop/electronic fusion shines through better than ever in this “No Prayers” remix. They’ll be taking their live remixing sounds on the road this summer with a packed schedule complete with a number of festival dates including Wakarusa, Forecastle, Sonar (Barcelona), and Shambhala, among others. Keys N Krates are at it yet again after releasing their remix of Miike Snow‘s “Devil’s Work” last week. Today, we have the pleasure of premiering their hot-off-the-press remix of Madeon‘s “Icarus” that they finished just days ago. With the catchy & uplifting first half and the satisfying, bass-heavy latter portion, it’s an electronic masterpiece that does not diminish their inner hip-hop sensibilities. Needless to say, Keys N Krates are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Listen & download the fresh track above!

aRod previously covered the Jacques Lu Cont remix of Miike Snow’s “Paddling Out,” but this time around it’s a remix of “Devil’s Work” by the Canadian trio, Keys N Krates. They strive for innovation by bridging the gap between electronic music & live instrumentation, along with the manipulation of turntablism. I really enjoy their formula of combining different musical elements to create their own sound, and this remix is a perfect example of that. With classic 808 sounds and solid synths, it has a sophisticated hip-hop vibe that is quite refreshing.
