Spring can now officially begin. The newaRod SpringGlo 2013 Mixis here to set the mood for the entire Spring season. From deep disco to indie-electro, from big disco to UK + deep house, this mix runs the gamut on all your favorite genres. Lustful, sleazy, bouncy vibes from the MASSIVE track list (incl. Villa, Kastle, Russ Chimes, Classixx, Ali Love & Breach, just to name a few of the fantastic many). ENJOY.
One of the biggest dance tracks of 2013, “Comet” by Hey Champ, gets the remix treatment from everyone’s favorite German, Justin Faust. Herr Faust takes the indie-dance anthem and fittingly gives a track named “Comet” some spacey, orbital shine. It’s the kind of dreamy synth sounds that makes one long for the return of 2009 Dreamwave à la VEGA.
Justin Faust’s shimmering remix of “Comet” is available as a free download. Take a ride…
French Horn Rebellion, Database, and Justin Faust all in one track, and it’s an amazing convergence. Happy, funky, and light-hearted, this remix from Justin Faust keeps the Pop vocals and jams it up into a nice dancefloor filler. Break out the rollerskates and cocaine!
Make sure to catch French Horn Rebellion tonight at Rockwood in NYC for the Imagem CMJ Showcase!
Our favorite coconut water, Vitacoco, and Sultan of Summertime, Viceroy, have teamed up to bring you the Vita Tapes. A special mixtape series to keep you dancing all year long with a tropo state of mind while you stay fully hydrated!
Alright I have to be honest — I immediately wanted to post this new mix from Munich’s Justin Faust strictly based on the artwork — but after listening to the mix in its entirety, I realized that it was post-worthy based on both its visual and audial qualities. Faust is at the forefront of the European Nu Disco scene, evidenced by his superb track selection in this latest promo. Big ones in here from Justin Faust, Kosmetique, Disclosure, and more. Download and tracklist down low… Continue Reading
For the 75th installment of The Dirt, K.M.O.C. and Korbz teamed up to create a playlist worthy of only the most loyal GDD fans. This installment of The Dirt is perfect for anywhere a summer day might take you. Whether that is long naps on the beach, or late nights grooving in the club, The Dirt #75 is an ideal companion for your summer plans.
Our friends over at Vitalic Noise have just released a mix showcasing the work of all the artists they represent which, to say the least, is a hell of a freshman class. These guys will be coming in super hot in the years to come, so keep an eye, and an ear open.
GDD favorite, Viceroy, has released his first single since ‘Sunny Daze,’ which quickly became this summer’s anthem, today entitled ‘No Ending’ with a heavy remix package including the likes of: Justin Faust (D.I.S.C.O. Texas), Geisha Twins (Stardust Records), and Cherub (Elm & Oak). Coming in hot, right at the end of the summer, this repetitive infectious disco anthem is sure to burn holes in the soles of your Chuck T’s.
Foreword from Viceroy:
Allow me to introduce “No Ending”. Why did I make it? I guess wanted to make a repetitive disco dance floor banger (woah thats a mouthful). Hopefully it does the trick. Also, enjoy the remixes from my buddies Justin Faust, Geisha Twins, and Cherub. Enough is enough: download “No Ending” and let summertime keep on rollin’!
“The waves ≠ raves consists of hand-picked gems that inspire us, tickling and tempting our creative juices. Some are old, some are new, but it is what we are listening to now. They are groovey, flowing, and sun-kissed just like that perfect wave. They are uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They sound the best with a babe in one hand, a cold brewski in the other, and the sand beneath your feet. Stay Dreamy.”
Foreword from Viceroy:
While the music market continues to grow into an ‘over saturation’ of electronic blogs, the majority of them seem to only know how to post those same absolute jams that their competition managed to post in previous features. That alone is not enough to make a blog stand out in my mind. I have been and always will be a huge fan of Gotta Dance Dirty. Why? They not only have the most up to date jams from the big dogs, but they support up and coming artists too. How many well-established blogs do that? I can’t name many. Supporting my summery beats since I started in February, Gotta Dance Dirty has given me the honor of hand selecting the tracks for Waves ≠ Raves Mixtape Vol. 14. Looking for some sun-kissed disco to cap off your summer fun? Look no further.
