Miami’s newcomer, Jordan Postrel, kicks off the GDD™ Guest Mix series in 2014 with an ace offering. Citing influences like Richie Hawtin, KiNK, Hot Since 82, and Claude VonStroke, he emerges out of underground territory that has helped shape his productions into tracks like his remix of The East Flatbush Project’s “Tried By 12,” among others. Postrel now flexes his DJ talent for an engaging 1-hour mix of house and tech-house that serves as an impressive addition to any mix archive.

Miami’s Jordan Postrel first came to my attention about a month ago with his unique, Tech House remix of Richboy’s “Throw Some Ds,” and this week he’s continued on with his interesting choices on remix projects as he brings us a House’d rendition of the 1996 Hip Hop single “Tried By 12” from Brooklyn’s East Flatbush Project. It shows some real creativity to create a remix fully outside of the realm of dance music, and Jordan Postrel seems to be nailing it. Check out more goodies from him on Soundcloud.
