It’s time to set the mood for the upcoming months with the next installment of my bi-annual/seasonal mixtape series: aRod’s FallGaze 2012 Mix. The mixtape is chock full of lustful indie grooves, steamy disco + deep, sleazy house. Hot tracks from heavy hitters like Anna Lunoe, Disclosure and Van She along with some unreleased heaters from Benoit & Sergio, MANIK feat. Jeremy Glenn and Sure Thing…this mix should keep you warm and electrified from Fall all the way through Winter.
We keep our GDD™ guest mixes going with a deep disco and tech-house groovin’ hour from Toronto’s own Jeremy Glenn. As a vocalist, producer, and DJ, he is a multi-talented artist that delivers excellent music regardless of which skill he chooses to utilize. With a new EP coming this Fall and eventually an album in early 2013, we couldn’t be more pleased to promote a rising artist that we believe in. Enjoy this Jeremy Glenn guest mix from front to back, it will make your day that much better. √+

“The waves ≠ raves consists of hand-picked gems that inspire us, tickling and tempting our creative juices. Some are old, some are new, but it is what we are listening to now. They are groovey, flowing, and sun-kissed just like that perfect wave. They are uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They sound the best with a babe in one hand, a cold brewski in the other, and the sand beneath your feet. Stay Dreamy.”

For most, Summer is here. Whether that means no school, summer school, no job, summer job, pool parties, or more parties, we welcome this season with open arms and suntan lotion. Toronto based Jeremy Glenn might not get as glorious rays as you SoCal babes, but he’s a huge supporter of maintaining Summer vibes. Why? Because he realizes that you’d much rather spend your money on piña coladas instead of mp3s, so he’s giving away his sun-drenched track ‘New Life’ for free. If you muster up the spirit, you should purchase his EP which comes out on Future Classic Records out of Australia on June 20th.
When I played a couple shows in Toronto a few months ago, I was introduced to the guys from YYZ Records. After sharing multiple beers trying to understand the rules of curling, they played a few tracks from artists on their label. They just sent along a groovy single from Jeremy Glenn, whose background in 80s and R&B soul is rife throughout ‘Mysterious Lover’. A funky bassline over infectious lyrics will find its way perfectly into a classy early evening disco set. The remix comes from Miami resident and YYZ artist Panic Bomber, who brings an uptempo tech-house inspired track for the wee hours of the night.
