Sydney based Acaddamy has picked up huge momentum on the airwaves thanks to his single “I’ve Been Waiting” on EtcEtc Music, but now gets a huge overhaul in the remix department by Portland based Jason Burns. Taking the haunting vocals of the original, Jason Burns dives into darker territory as he’s known for – giving it a taste of garage and a deeper bassline. Aside versions from MSCLS and Lyndon Kidd, the Jason Burns cut is our clear front runner on the package.
And we’re not the only ones hyped on it – the remix already has early support from AC Slater, Kokiri, Yuri / Database (Kitsune), Vaden (Rinse FM), Ookay, LCAW, Ben Drumsound (Drumsound & Bassline Smith), Chuckie, Icarus.
Jason Burns on
Kastle and Jason Burns, two artists already with releases on Kastle’s own Symbols imprint, have officially joined forces to create an EP together, which just dropped this week. Having both been pushing such a similar sound and style and influence with their music, it comes as no surprise to either them nor the listeners that a collaboration came about.
Lots of UK vibes on this one, a mixture of upbeat vibes and synths with tropical and deep drum patterns; a true variety of musical tinges that the two artists specialize in. Oh, and is that Chris Brown I hear sampled in “Don’t Believe?” You can stream samples of the EP below via Symbols’ SoundCloud and the entirety of “Somebody” via YouTube after the jump.
