What could go wrong with a collaboration between Montreal Technohead, Tiga, and American electronic Pop producer, Matthew Dear? Absolutely nothing. The new single from Tiga co-produced with the Texan musician is a perfect concoction of influences; taking inspiration from 80s TV shows while paying respect to the underground sounds of Detroit. Tiga handpicked his remixes for the release on December 17th, including a Big Room remix from Jacques Lu Cont and a more minimal, hypnotic take from German duo, Ame. Stream “Plush” below. √+

Emerging from what seemed like a production hibernation, the UK electronic wizard Jacques Lu Cont is back on the circuit with a new 3-track EP he gave away to his fans along with a recent debut Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. I am quite pleased that Stuart Price is back in a big way so far in 2012.  Mr. Price, aka Jacques Lu Cont (also doing business as Thin White Duke, Paper Faces, Les Rythmes Digitales, et al) has written/produced songs for some of the biggest names in dance music (Madonna, New Order, Scissor Sisters, Kylie Minogue, The Killers) as well as being responsible for some of the greatest dance remixes of ALL TIME (namely these three dancefloor masterpieces by Missy Elliott, Madonna & Felix da Housecat).
