To celebrate his recent AWARD EP release on Fool’s Gold Records, the NY based Brenmar is throwing a party w/ iheartcomix @ Los Globos this Thursday in Los Angeles and we wanna give you a pair of tix to go!
HOW TO WIN: Share/RT this post on twitter and we’ll pick a winner at random on Thursday morning.
His aptly titled Award EP (out 1/20 on Fool’s Gold) is more than a victory lap for a nightlife champion, but the start of an awesome new chapter, melding songwriting chops atop years of body-moving DJ knowledge. From 808 slow jams to confetti-ready anthems, Award is a four-track collection of earworms featuring voices from the underground (Newark’s Dougie F and UNiiQU3) and radio (Jeremih collaborator Sayyi) alike.
After a huge grand opening last week w/ Clockwork and Just Blaze, we continue the fall madness with another big double headliner booking for iHeartComix Sundays @ LURE. This week, we welcome a very special DJ set from Two Door Cinema Club along their North American tour. On top of that, we welcome the original genius behind Major Lazer, mister Dave Taylor aka Switch. Supporting the night will be Lights Down Low boss Sleazemore and our very own Troy Kurtz. With a new venue and a new vibe, this is sure to be one for the books! This event will reach capacity, so please RSVP and arrive before 11pm to guarantee entry.
To get on our guestlist, email RSVP@gottadancedirty.com with full names and plusses if any! $10 before 11pm | $15 after
To celebrate the kickstart of our partnership w/ LURE and iHeartComix, we wanted to catch up with the opening night headliner and our personal homie, Clockwork. This Sunday, October 13th, Clockwork joins Just Blaze, Franki Chan and our very own BONES to open up the new iHeartComix Sundays @ LURE. Now, we were going to ask some serious questions and be professional but thats boring and we’d rather have some fun for your own enjoyment (and keep it nice and quick for all you space cadets).

Our friends at iHeartComix, Mad Decent, and Fool’s Gold have joined forces for what seems to be THE party to attend this year at SxSW in Austin. Boasting by far the largest dance music lineup of the week,#SUPERPARTY will take place at the former Beauty Ballroom on Thursday the 14th and will be open to fans of all ages from noon until 2AM. We’ll, of course, be making this a stop on our upcoming #GDDRV tour, and after seeing this lineup, we couldn’t be more thrilled to attend our very first SxSW event.
The folks at Epiphany Presents are putting on quite the party next Thursday, Feb. 28th at Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles, with sets from Digitalism, Switch, Classixx, Rhythm Monks, and more. With a lineup fit for a main stage and a venue perfectly apt, THE LOT will be an amazing night and we have 2 pairs of tickets to give away. Enter below through Punchtab for your chance to win! Winners will be announced next Tuesday. Buy tickets here and find more info on the event hereContinue Reading
We’ve been big supporters of T&B for years now, and we love when the Brooklyn Bass collective brings their sounds over to the left coast. This Saturday, we’re teaming up with our friends at iheartcomix for a massive event at one of our favorite venues, The Central in Santa Monica, where Drop the Lime will be headlining the night with a massive underbill featuring T&B’s The Captain, Tamara Sky, BONES, and CC Sheffield. Coincidentally, Trouble & Bass just put out a new mix today, featuring 12 collaborations with artists around the world, “spanning the gamut between house, dubstep, club music and rap — often all within the same tune.”

2. Hey Today! – Minor (Para One Remix)
3. Munnibrotherz – Moon Chon Chayoh (Zombie Disco Squad Remix) (AG NDS Edit)
4. Arnaud Rebotini – All You Need Is Techno (Gesaffelstein Remix)
5. Phil Kieran – Skyhook 1

By the beard of Zeus was it hot in Los Angeles today! Someone told me that it hit 113 degrees in downtown which is restoring my faith and concern in global warming. Good thing the Penthouse is in close proximity to the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Anyway, this trifecta of turbulent tunage will definitely not cool you down, but who can dance dirty without getting a little hot n’ bothered? Get these goodies before they evaporate into the stratosphere!
These two are probably my favorite remixes of the smash hit by Cajmere AKA Curtis Jones AKA Green Velvet, although the Major Lazer and Riva Starr versions are very admirable as well. Pick up the entire Percolator Package on iTunes or Beatport. Oh, and just a little announcement; Claude VonStroke and Dada Life will both be coming to CONTROL at the Avalon in October and November, respectively. Yeeeeeehaw.
Our fellow LA resident Paparazzi just sent this over for a GDD™ exclusive release today. Big synth + Alexis’ vocals = always a good time. Paparazzi is currently working on an original EP and a few other remixes as well as planning to reinstate the famous Check Yo Ponytail party in a couple months along with iHeartComix‘ Franki Chan and Media Contender‘s Danny Johnson. Keep your peepers peeled!
