Now that HARD’s successful Day of the Dead Festival is in the bag, Destructo has his sights set on the future, specifically his endeavors from land to sea in January and February of 2016. The sold-out HOLY SHIP!s will be happening on January 3-6 and February 10-13, but in between, the DJ/producer/festival founder will be throwing down on the Ship2Ship Tour, alongside dirtybird mainstay, Justin Martin, and up-and-comer Rezz, across the U.S. from January 14th to February 5th.
In addition to the tour news, Destructo is also staying busy on the release front with a forthcoming track, “Bodyback,” on AC Slater’s Night Bass label. Check out the darker, bass-fueled g-housey tune below, and pick it up on Friday on the This Is Night Bass Vol. 2 compilation.
If that wasn’t enough, you can enjoy Destructo’s Diplo & Friends guest mix that features a grip of unreleased tracks of his own, as well as jams from Justin Jay, AC Slater, Jauz, and many more (tracklist after the jump).

After electronic music broke out into one of its most pivotal years in 2012, expectations for what’s next have been through the roof. With the start of the new year, all eyes were on HARD‘s festival cruise aka Holy Ship. The staggering lineup that Gary Richards (Destructo) procured took many of the biggest names from across the board and set them out into the middle of the Atlantic ocean to kick off 2013. But why was it different than any other festival? Sure, it went from cruise ship to island hopping and back again, boasting an all-star roster – but how was that gonna set the tone for the year?
Never underestimate the power of friendship. Cheesy, I know, but for the sake of dance music and live performances, it’s what’s gonna save this year from being another circuit of the same festivals with the same stage lineups and the same sets… ENTER: the back-2-back DJ set.
Good morning! We have an excellent update for you all today. Sometimes I wish that the artists that make the headlines were a lineup for a GDD™ Festival. Don’t you? Anyway, there is way too much going on for you to not check it out, so hurry after the jump!
Everyone loves a good Bromance, and in this case, we really love the new bond between two GDD™ favorites, Brodinksi and Gesaffelstein. After the highly anticipated joint record label launch on Brodinski + Manu Barron’s new imprint on the 21st of November, Brodinksi and Gesaffelstein will be playing together 3 times in the beginning of the New Year with stops on Holy Ship!, the Mezzanine in San Francisco, and Key Club in Los Angeles. Fortunately for you lot, we have a pair of tickets to give away for both the SF and LA stops of the Bromance tour, so get on your Twitters and tweet the following to enter to win:
“Dear @Hardfest + @GottaDanceDirty, I wanna go see @Brodinski and @Gesaffelstein in (SF/LA) because I have a BROMANCE with @(Friend’s names here)!”
Submissions will be accepted until next Tuesday and winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 23rd. GOOD LUCK!
